Week 11 offers one of the greatest and most intense rivalries in college football that also will have high stakes for the Big 12 Conference. When the Oklahoma Sooners and Oklahoma State Cowboys get together the moniker is “Bedlam” and appropriately so. While Oklahoma has had undeniable dominance in the series it is not from a lack of passionate effort by the Cowboys. And when the Pokes prevail it’s the greatest feeling in the world for their fans. But this year Okie State will be limping into Owen Field as a decided and well-deserved road dog to a resurgent Sooner squad in the hunt for the college football playoff.

But Oklahoma has one of the best offenses in the country and a defense that is showing improvement. OU ranks second in the country for total offense and 60th for total defense. While the defensive ranking is not dominant its been improving since Ruffin McNeil took over as coordinator.

Oklahoma has owned this series with 13 straight up wins in the last 15 meetings with Oklahoma State. In that same span OU has come away with the cash a total of 11 times. Just one of the last five Bedlam get togethers have gone under the total. Although Oklahoma State has covered in two of their last three visits to Oklahoma the Sooners have paid in five of the last seven overall. Two of the last three in this series at Owen Field Memorial Stadium have gone over the total.

Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray is a top tier Heisman Troiphy candidate with a rating of 216.6 to go with 31 touchdown passes and just five interceptions with 12.34 yards per attempt. He is also the Sooners second leading rusher.
