Week 5 College Football Odds

Not only does college football’s Week five offer what looks like the most attractive schedule so far this season but it also seems loaded with potential value. Along those same lines there are a multitude of parlay opportunities that can enhance what looks to be the best Saturday of the season thus far. Indeed, College Football Saturday will again deliver and resemble Christmas morning. Gamblers have a buffet of attractive games to bet and parlay with the super power prime time showdown of Penn State and Ohio State headlining the marquee. Be sure to have your account locked at loaded at Bookmaker for continuous action that starts in the morning and runs past midnight. Let’s now take a look at this week’s Parlays for College Football Saturday!

Revenge Parlay

The Clemson Tigers were ambushed at the Syracuse Orange last year in a stunning 27-24 loss as whopping 24-point favorites. Now the Tigers get the Orange at Death Valley and are 23-point favorites. But this time the Tigers will be fully focused and will not take Syracuse lightly. Adding to the intrigue for this one is the fact that Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney has named a new starting quarterback. Freshman Trevor Lawrence, the second ranked in the nation recruit last spring, has won the job with dominant numbers. Lawrence has an eye-popping 191.8 quarterback rating with nine touchdown passes and just two interceptions. He should light up a Syracuse defense ranked 100th nationally against the pass.

The Penn State Nittany Lions are a live and dangerous 3.5-point dog at home against the Ohio State Buckeyes. Last year Penn State lost a tough 39-38 decision at the Horseshoe as the Nits blew leads of 28-10 and then 38-33 with 4:20 to play. Saturday night is a famed “White Out” at Beaver Stadium where over 100,000 screaming fans will be “well lubricated” and decked out in all white. Ohio State lost in their last White Out appearance two years ago.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish were thrashed at the Stanford Cardinal last year 38-20 but now get the Cardinal under the watchful eyes of Touchdown Jesus on Saturday night. The Irish are four point chalks in this one. Excitement is building for new Notre Dame quarterback Ian Book after he threw for 325 yards and two touchdowns in his debut as starter last week at Wake Forest. And will Stanford have anything left in the tank after stunning overtime win and comeback at Oregon last Saturday?

So, your revenge parlay is Clemson, Penn State, and Notre Dame.

Home Dog Parlay

The California Golden Bears remain one of the most underrated teams at 3-0 and yet is a three-point home dog against an Oregon Ducks team that has to be demoralized after a 38-31 overtime home loss to Stanford in which they blew a big lead and seemingly certain win. Cal’s defense is ranked 16th in the country and adds a dangerous element. Justin Wilcox has completely flipped the look of the Golden Bears as they have gone from having no defense to one of the best stop units in the country.

The Texas Tech Red Raiders are getting 3.5 points at home against the West Virginia Mountaineers. Texas Tech is coming off their most impressive win in years last Saturday when they scored a stunning 41-17 upset win at Oklahoma State as 14.5-point dogs. Best of all the much-maligned Red Raiders defense shut down one of the top offenses in the country. And that new-found confidence will be needed against the high flying and undefeated West Virginia Mountaineers. This could prove to be the ultimate trap for the Mounties.

Nebraska has flopped on their face under new head coach Scott Frost to stand at 0-3 both straight up and against the spread. They are now a four-point home dog against a 1-3 Purdue team that the Huskers beat last year in a 25-24 road win. Nebraska was slaughtered 56-10 at Michigan last Saturday. Frost will certainly turn this program around. And as the saying goes its darkest before dawn.

In summary, your home dog parlay is California, Texas Tech, and Nebraska.
