Week nine’s best matchup of all could very well be the one known as “The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party” between the Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs. Florida has shown rapid improvement under new head coach Dan Mullen after stubbing their toe early in a home loss to Kentucky. Georgia was undefeated until their last game which was an embarrassing blowout loss at LSU that many believe was overdue to have happened. The Cocktail Party takes place at the neutral site of Jacksonville with equal ticket allotments for each side. At stake is first place and control of the SEC East Division.
This matchup in Week 9 will take place on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at 3:30 p.m. ET at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida. CBS is providing the telecast of this rivalry.

Live Betting Odds Analysis
Georgia is the big favorite based on their near miss in the national championship game last year. Furthermore, the Bulldogs were highly touted in the preseason to contend for the college football playoff. There is still a wait and see approach with the public on Florida although sharps have been on them recently.
Gators Chomp
The improved Florida Gators have won and covered five in a row to now stand at 6-1 both straight up and against the spread with four of their seven games going over the total. Florida took last week off after scoring a 37-27 payout at Vanderbilt.
More in the Red than Black for UGA
Georgia is 6-1 straight up but just 3-4 against the spread as they have become too public and an overlay team. The Bulldogs were also off last week after a bad 36-16 loss at LSU as seven-point chalks. UGA has gone under the total in four of their seven games.
ATS Trends
Georgia has dropped in betting value as a road chalk recently with just two payouts in their last five games in that situation. Additionally, the Bulldogs have gone over the total in five of their last six as road chalks.
Balanced against that is Florida’s subpar betting value as a road dog. To illuminate the Gators have covered just two of their last seven games when getting points away from home. Beyond that the Gators have gone under the total in four of their last five as road dogs.
Head to Head
Last year Georgia destroyed Florida 42-7 as 13-point favorites. The Gators were playing for an interim coach and had basically packed it in for the year. With the cover Georgia snapped a four-game streak in which they failed to get the money against Florida. Five of the last seven in this series have gone under the total.
Live Betting Matchup to Watch
Florida ranks a much improved 35th in the country for scoring offense. While that is not great its in the upper third of the country and vastly better to last year’s production. Meanwhile the Gators defense ranks 15th in the country for points allowed. This could set up some good live betting opportunities when you consider the fact that Georgia’s offense ranks only 28th in the country and an alarming 64th for passing. Defensively UGA has slipped a notch to rank 17th in the country. While still good it’s not at the level that was expected and touted in the preseason.
Free Live Betting ATS Pick
Dan Mullen has quickly reminded the college football world why he is one of the best coaches in the country. In short order he has put the best Florida offense since Tim Tebow on the field. Gator quarterback Feleipe Franks has a 15/5 touchdown to interception ratio. Florida looks like a live dog with momentum in this one. And Georgia’s horrible loss at LSU demonstrated they are far from invulnerable. Mullen’s offensive prowess and ability to adjust could bring live betting value.
