With the arrival of Jimbo Fisher expectations for the Texas A&M Aggies are indeed larger than life and emblematic of the state itself. As the saying goes. “everything is bigger in Texas” and that is certainly the case ever since the Aggies nearly upset national title contender Clemson in week two. Indeed, A&M has shown dramatic improvement already under Fisher and it stands to figure that when he gets his own recruits clicking in the program will take off. Conversely the Mississippi State Bulldogs are regressing under first year head coach Joe Moorhead. It was stated that previous coach Dan Mullen left behind a full cupboard for Moorhead. Either the talent or the coach have proven to be overrated. Perhaps it is both. Texas A&M meets Mississippi State on Saturday.

This line is a bit of a surprise as Texas A&M is considered by most to be the superior team. Much of the odds are based on Mississippi State’s good betting value at home and in this series.

It may surprise fans and gamblers to know that Mississippi State has dominated the payout window in their series with Texas A&M. To show, the Bulldogs have come away with the cash in four of their last five meetings with the Aggies. Two of the last three in this series have also gone under the total. At Davis Wade Stadium Hail State has won and covered their last two games against Texas A&M. Both games also went over the total.
Live Betting Matchup to Watch
The Aggies are well balanced ranking 14th in the nation for total offense and 21st for total defense. This could give them a consistent live betting advantage over Mississippi State. For example, the Bulldogs rank 82nd in the country for scoring offense and 111th for passing yardage. Counter to that is their sixth in the country ranked defense. A lot of last week’s live betting focused on the Bulldogs inability to move the ball and score on LSU.
