Golf Betting – Alfred Dunhill Links Championship Matchup Odds and Picks

Alfred Dunhill Predictions Online

Looking for a better showing than what transpired at the Ryder Cup, Americans Brooks Koepka and Tony Finau stayed across the pond to compete in this week’s Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, where they are among the favorites to win the event. Of course, Team USA was also favored in the Ryder Cup and we saw how that went. At least the two Americans held their own at Le Golf National.

No stranger to links golf, Koepka began his career on the European Tour and was the rookie of the year 2014. He opened as the betting favorite at +750, returning to this event for the first time since 2015 when he completed a runner-up finish. Standing in his way is Tommy Fleetwood, among others. Fleetwood helped Europe win the Ryder Cup by taking four points and the Englishman isn’t over his one-shot loss to Koepka at the U.S. Open. Another Ryder Cup standout, Tyrrell Hatton is in fine form to become the first player to win this event in three consecutive years. At +1450, Hatton is fourth on the odds board at BookMaker.eu. Here is a look at matchup odds for the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

Alfred Dunhill Links Championship Matchup Picks

This is one of the most anticipated events on the European Tour for several reasons. First, there’s the pro-am aspect. Every player will be competing not only against the field, but also with an amateur. It’s essentially two tournaments in one. The tournament will also be played on three of the more famous links courses. The first three rounds will be contested at the St. Andrews Old Course, Carnoustie, and Kingsbarns Golf Links. Those who make the cut will play the final round back at St. Andrews.

Brooks Koepka -110 vs. Tommy Fleetwood

This could be a matchup to determine the title and is worth watching even if you don’t throw down on either player. They are the favorites and there is a history between the two. Koepka got the best of Fleetwood at Shinnecock Hills, winning the U.S. Open despite Fleetwood’s U.S. Open record-tying 63 in the final round. Fleetwood got some revenge at the Ryder Cup winning four points to help the Europeans reclaim the trophy. However, I’m leaning toward Koepka in this matchup.

Eddie Pepperell -105 vs. Chris Wood

Pepperell is an under the radar star and these odds are too good to pass up. He had a great summer on the European Tour with a runner-up finish at the Scottish Open and a sixth-place showing at the Carnoustie Open that nearly got him a Ryder Cup spot. He’s trending in the right direction with five top-10 finishes in his last seven starts. A final-round 65 at St. Andrews last year got him into seventh place at this event.

Ross Fisher -135 vs. Matt Wallace

After just missing the top spot the last two years and three times total, Fisher is due for a breakthrough. His runner-up finish last year came after a course record 61 at St. Andrews and he enjoys the tournament layout. Recent form has been a concern, but Fisher had four strong rounds at the Portugal Masters to get him ready for his best event. Meanwhile, Wallace is still reeling from not making the Ryder Cup team and his links play is questionable.
