Thorbjorn Olesen and Thomas Pieters are the top two betting choices to win this week’s Made in Denmark on the European Tour. Olesen is listed as the favorite at odds of +625, while Pieters is listed with odds of +915. It is a top heavy field, as only four players are listed with odds of less than +3000. I am coming off a 2-2-1 week with the matchups at the D+D Real Czech Masters. Let’s look at the odds and matchups for this week’s Made in Denmark.

Made in Denmark Matchup Picks
Before we get to the picks there are a few things to consider. We have a new course this year, as this event moved from Himmerland Resort to Silkeborg Ry Golf Club. The Silkeborg course is short, but it demands accuracy, as there are trees lining the fairways. We’ll look for players who rank highly in accuracy in our picks this week.
Matthew Fitzpatrick +105 vs. Thomas Pieters
There is no question that Pieters could just dominate this course with his length, but I think his accuracy will get him into trouble. This course should be made for Fitzpatrick who is 47th in accuracy. Pieters ranks just 269th. I will take the plus price and go with Fitzpatrick in this matchup.
Ashley Chesters -125 vs. Christiaan Bezuidenhout
This is my matchup stat play of the week. Chesters ranks 17th in driving accuracy on the European Tour, while Bezuidenhout ranks just 216th. I will lay the small price and take Chesters.
Bradley Dredge -130 vs. Scott Hend
Dredge took last week off after finishing 34th in Sweden. He had played well in Himmerland in the past, so it will be interesting to see how he does with the course change. We know that Hend does not drive the ball straight, ranking just 280th on the European Tour. Dredge isn’t great either, at 230th, but I will lay the price and take Dredge in this matchup.
Lee Slattery -105 vs. Dean Burmester
Slattery is 184th in driving accuracy, which is poor, but Burmester is awful, ranking just 274th. I will take Slatter in this matchup.
Gaganjeet Bhullar -115 vs. Jordan Smith
I like Bhullar in this matchup against Smith. Bhullar is normally very solid in terms of driving accuracy and he should like this shorter course. Smith has just fallen apart this season and is a go-against right now. I will lay the small price and take Bhullar in this matchup.
