Returning to England for a third straight year the field gets a different host and different name with LIV Golf United Kingdom the 11th of 14 tournaments on the slate. JCB Golf and Country Club serves as host after two years at the Centurion Club with Jon Rahm pegged as the betting favorite. Rahm has finished among the top 10 in all of his completed LIV starts and is coming off a solid showing at The Open where he placed T7. Rahm is ahead of Bryson DeChambeau, Tyrrell Hatton and Joaquin Niemann on the odds board with all opening at 10/1 or shorter. Sergio Garcia is fifth on the board coming off his win at Valderrama for first LIV Golf title that continued a trend of first-time winners. Seven of the previous 10 LIV Golf events had a first time champion putting Rahm in a good position. Visit BookMaker.eu for a complete list of betting odds when you’re ready to place a wager.

Odds Analysis
Tyrrell Hatton +800
I’m not sure if it means anything but it has to feel good for English-born golfers to play in their home country. There are several of them with Hatton included among the group. And I picked Hatton because he’s the only player to earn points in all 10 tournaments, meaning he had to finish among the top 24. And he’s been money in his last two starts winning in Nashville and finishing 1-shot off the lead at Andalucia for solo third.
Sam Horsfield +7500
Another Englishman looking to take advantage of the home game is Horsfield. His odds are much longer than those of Hatton for good reason. Horsfield has struggled all season but he did show signs with a breakout performance in Nashville. He had his best finish in LIV Golf with a runner-up showing and has competed well in this event earning a top 5 two years ago at the Centurion Club.
Louis Oosthuizen +1800
I’ve been backing Oosthuizen most of the season and he’s paid off handsomely in matchup picks. Hmmm, I wonder what that article is going to look like. He has yet to win a LIV Golf tournament but has come close a number of times with a runner-up finish at Jeddah and Adelaide and more recently a T4 at Valderrama. And he has to be a little perturbed after a MC at The Open allowing him to take out his frustrations on the field this week.
Jon Rahm +650
I don’t typically back the favorite and especially at this price. However, Rahm is the exception and he has to feel good about his close at The Open that vaulted him into a T7. It had been an awful major season for him with a T45 at the Masters and a MC at the PGA Championship. He missed the US Open with a foot ailment that also forced him out of LIV Golf Houston. He’s feeling much better, though, evidenced by his closing 68 at Royal Troon. And given the trend of first-time LIV Golf winners this season Rahm is due.
Matthew Wolff +5000
I’m still holding out hope for Wolff to finally breakthrough. He’s a talented player with a sweet swing and he’s been consistent for the last several months, though he hasn’t really contended for a title. He does have a pair of top 5s at Las Vegas and Miami and he’s finished among the top 17 in his last three LIV Golf starts but he hasn’t been able to get over the hump. He’s certainly a risk but his price makes up for it.
Course: JCB Golf and Country Club – 7,255 yards, par 71
There isn’t a lot of distance to cover this week for those who competed at The Open. Situated in Rocester, England, JCB Golf and Country Club is a baby having opened in 2018 and hosts its first major event this week. The club has gotten recognition as one of the most exclusive in the UK. The 337-yard second hole and 303-yard 12th hole are drivable par 4s setting up scoring opportunities. Taking advantage of those shorter holes is imperative with the 506-yard sixth hole also at par 4, which is normally a par 5 for members leaving par at 71. There is plenty of water to watch out for that could be a factor on as many as six holes. A variety of shots and clubs will be needed to traverse a course that has a variety of landscapes come into play.
