LIV Golf Orlando Odds - Bet on LIV Golf

LIV Golf Orlando Odds

Another LIV Golf League tournament and another different individual titlist as Danny Lee became the ninth different player to win last time out in Tucson. Still in search of a two-time winner the field pegs it up this week at Orange County National in Florida at the LIV Golf Orlando in the third of 14 scheduled stops this season. The order seems to change with every event but once again the trio of Dustin Johnson, Cameron Smith and Joaquin Niemann top the odds board even though DJ was the highest finisher among the three at 13th in Arizona. The gap appears to be closing, though, with five other players opening with odds of 16/1 or shorter. Of those eight Smith, DJ and Charles Howell III have previously claimed the $4 million first place prize. There are some talented players in the field to continue the trend. Odds Analysis

Bryson Dechambeau +5000

While most of the other players headed to Augusta are looking to fine tune their game, DeChambeau is looking for any success to restore some confidence. He hasn’t finished better than 10th in any of his LIV Golf starts and crumbled last week placing 44th. There is no reason to think his luck will change, but that’s the beauty of golf: Expect it when you least expect it. The length and giant greens will definitely help, but DeChambeau needs to be dialed in with his putting. If he is there’s a title waiting for him.

Louis Oosthuizen +2500

I backed Oosthuizen in the outright market in Tucson and the South African nearly made me a winner as one of four players to reach a playoff. I sensed he was getting back to form and that display was proof. Oosthuizen has been a staple in major championships with plenty of success and getting greased up for the Masters with a win will only validate his appearance. A lover of links golf, this layout has the feel and Oosthuizen should take advantage.

Cameron Smith +1000

I’m not keen on backing one of the favorites with short odds, but Smith stands out on this layout for several reasons. The description of the course has length and large putting surfaces giving Smith an edge since he can hit the ball a long way and has been among the best putters in the game. With a course expected to yield plenty of birdie chances the player who takes advantage of those opportunities has a good chance of winning. Smith checks all the boxes.

Peter Uihlein +4000

Few have been as consistent as Uihlein over the past several tournaments with three runner-up finishes in his last five starts. He wasn’t as good in Tucson, but a closing 68 moved him into the top 10 rebounding from a sluggish middle round. Another thing that strikes me is being an Orlando resident Uihlein probably has visited the course in the past. I don’t know for sure, but even if he hasn’t his game is in such a good place that I’d back him anyway.

Bernd Wiesberger +10000

This pick might be a stretch but so was Howell in Mayakoba and Lee in Tucson, and we saw how that turned out. I didn’t back the above mentioned players and I’m not sure many did, so given how the LIV Golf League has played out so far why not take a chance with a big payday the result. Wiesberger hasn’t fared too well with only one top 10 in his nine career starts, but he’s another player who thrives on links courses and we should see him perform better in familiar surroundings. And all the better If the end result is a win.

Course: Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge – 7,297 yards, par 71

The Crooked Cat Course at Orange County National stretches to nearly 7,300 yards with elevation changes, contoured fairways and large greens. There haven’t been many professional stops at the property with the Korn Ferry Tour most recently visiting back in 2020. Prior to that Orange County National hosted PGA Tour Q School in 2007. So, the field is on level ground when it comes to course knowledge with few if any having ever teed it up here. That shouldn’t affect the golfers since they’ve all been to different layouts during their careers and this one has a linksy-feel to it. There are 18 players in the field set to tee off at the Masters next week so look for guys like DJ, Brooks Koepka, Sergio Garcia and Abraham Ancer to fine tune their game.
