The Blues had scored eight goals in three matches prior to that defeat, and Christian Pulisic started to come into his own. The talented young American has the hopes of a nation on his back, and his play might lead to millions of his countrymen becoming Chelsea fans.
Manager Frank Lampard is hoping that N’Golo Kante will be able to play in this match after missing the last two weeks with a thigh injury. Kante is the best defensive midfielder in the Premier League and excels at breaking up opponents’ attacks, so he is an instrumental part of Chelsea’s success.
