Tuesday was a day for celebration in North London. Tottenham Hotspur qualified for the Champions League Round of 16 by pulling out a late draw against Barcelona in Camp Nou after PSV Eindhoven stunned Inter Milan by playing the Italians to a 1-1 draw in Milan. That sent all four English teams through to the knockout rounds of the Champions League, and those four teams are looking to make the most of their opportunity come February. Until then, Tottenham will turn their attention back to the Premier League, where they face Burnley on Wednesday.

Odds Analysis
It’s been a terrible year for Burnley. The Clarets were hoping to make a Europa League run after finishing seventh in the Premier League last season, but they fell in the last qualifying round prior to the group stage. To make matters worse, they started off slow in the Premier League because of the double duty, and they have yet to recover. Burnley are currently in 17th place, and they just rescued themselves from the bottom of the table after a 1-0 over Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend. Still, they are only two points ahead of 18th place Huddersfield Town.
If not for a loss on the road against Arsenal, Spurs would have had a perfect last six weeks. Regardless, it certainly hasn’t been bad for Tottenham, as they are now up to third in the Premier League table, and they have made it to the knockout rounds of Europe’s best tournament. Spurs have won six of their last seven Premier League games coming into this match.
Key Injuries
Burnley will be without Stephen Ward and Nick Pope for this clash. Ward has been out for the past month with a knee injury, while Pope has been sidelined for three months. Both players are aiming to return next week, and that would provide the Clarets with a boost. Steven Defour is listed as questionable.
Five players are definite scratches for Tottenham this weekend. Victor Wanyama, Davinson Sanchez, Mousa Dembele, Vincent Janssen, and Kieran Trippier have all been declared out. Serge Augier is listed as doubtful due to a groin strain, while Juan Marcos Foyth is probable.
Matchup to Watch
Tottenham have looked incredibly sharp on offense over the last month or so, and they seem to have hit their stride. Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Lucas Moura, and Son Heung-min have all been playing well on the attack, and Christian Eriksen has done a wonderful job of table setting. That has made this team tough to stop, and Burnley have been weak in the back this year. They have allowed the second-most goals this season (32), so many have Tottenham netting at least twice here.
Prop Bet of the Game – Burnley +1.5 and +2 at +127
I’m not of the same mindset. Although the Clarets have struggled, they welcomed their best defender back into the lineup a couple weeks ago, and I expect their defense to look much better. James Tarkowski and Ben Mee are a solid tandem, and they looked sharp against Brighton last weekend. I think they will do enough to keep the score close in this match.

Burnley have not played well on defense this season, but a healthy Tarkowski and extra rest is leading me to take the Clarets on the goal line. Tottenham will only have two days off prior to this match, and focus may be an issue considering what they just accomplished. Getting two goals is simply too much in this situation.
