Chelsea have done very well under new manager Maurizio Sarri this season. Sarri made a name for himself during his time at Napoli, and Roman Abramovich pegged him to replace the embattled Antonio Conte just before the World Cup Final. That decision has paid off well for the Blues, as the club is 8-3-0 after 11 games and Chelsea are currently tied with Liverpool in second place in the Premier League. Sarri is out to keep his good start going against Everton this Sunday.

Odds Analysis
It’s been a bit of an up and down year for Everton. The Toffees spent a lot of money to bring in Richarlison with the hope of making it back to one of the European competitions. That decision was critiqued, especially early in the season when he picked up a red card and struggled a bit, but now there are few people questioning the move. Everton are 5-3-3 and sitting in ninth place coming into this one. While that’s not where they want to be, who knows where they would be without Richarlison? He has led the team with six goals, and his dazzling play helped Everton get by Fulham, Leicester City, Crystal Palace, and Brighton over the last month.
Chelsea just wrapped up their spot in the next round of the Europa League with a 1-0 win over BATE on Thursday. That will give the club the opportunity to rest players for the Premier League for the next month or so, and Sarri will take advantage. Chelsea had little trouble taking care of business against Crystal Palace last week in the Premier League, beating the Eagles 3-1.
Key Injuries
Richarlison is probable to play through a foot injury, and that’s great news for Everton. He has been the motor of the Toffees offense this season, and the club has leaned on him heavily to make plays and score goals. The Toffees might be without Jonjoe Kenny and James McCarthy though as both players have been declared questionable.
Long-term injury Marco Van Ginkel is the one sure scratch for the Blues here, while midfielder Cesc Fabregas is questionable to play because of an illness.
Player to Watch
Eden Hazard has been fantastic this year. Chelsea’s No. 10 had a great summer by leading Belgium to the World Cup Semifinals, and Hazard has continued to play at a high level for his club. He notched seven goals in his first seven matches, and he looked like he was thriving in Sarri’s offense. However, he has taken a bit of a back seat the last few weeks and failed to score. Hazard is still playing at a high level, and he also has four assists through 10 matches, and he is set to feature in this one despite playing in Belarus on Thursday.
Prop Bet of the Game – Everton +1.5 -136
I think the Toffees are pretty talented, and I see them keeping it close with Chelsea. I was a bit surprised to see the Blues favored by this much after playing everyone but N’Golo Kante on Thursday night in Belarus. They will now only have two days rest before this one, and Everton will be pretty healthy. Getting a goal and a half at this price is a no brainer.

Don’t be surprised if Everton picks up a result in this one. The Toffees have been playing well, and Chelsea might be a bit fatigued. That would be a good play along with taking Everton on the goal line here.
English Premier League Odds: Chelsea 2, Everton 1
