Huddersfield Town was a heavy favorite per the soccer betting odds to go down last year, but the Terriers managed to stay afloat with a 16th place finish. However, the club is currently in last place this year, and the prognostications may have been just one year off. They have been largely listless in the Premier League this season. They have scored just four goals in 10 matches, and their three draws have come against Cardiff City, Everton, and Burnley. Huddersfield have just one result in five matches at home this year, but three of those games were against Chelsea, Tottenham, and Liverpool.
The Cottagers did not get the fancy new stadium that Shad Khan wanted to replace Craven Cottage, and the club has been in a freefall lately. Fulham picked up a win against Burnley in late August and draws against Brighton and Waford in September, but they failed to earn a result in the month of October. They have lost by an average of three goals over their last four matches, falling to Everton, Arsenal, Cardiff City, and Bourenmouth.
Key Injuries
Two players will be sidelined for Fulham in this match. Midfielder Kevin McDonald was sent off after picking up his second yellow against Bournemouth last weekend, and he will sit out due to suspension. Defender Joe Bryan has already been ruled out as well because of a hamstring injury.
No one has been definitively ruled out for Huddersfield Town just yet, but five players are in various states prior to Monday’s clash. Midfielder Danny Williams is the biggest concern, and he is listed as doubtful with a knee injury. Defender Terence Kongolo is probable to play after being out for a few weeks with a hamstring injury, and midfielders Rajiv van La Parra and Abdelhamid Sabiri are probable too. Defender Tommy Smith is a slight doubt, but the Terriers captain is likely to play through a groin injury.

The Cottagers scoring has come almost exclusively through two players this year. Aleksandar Mitrovic and Andre Schurrle have combined to tally nine of the team’s 11 goals. Schurrle has been the team’s primary option recently, while Mitrovic has failed to score in over a month after a red hot start. For Fulham to pull themselves out from the relegation zone, these two will need to net against one of the worst defenses in the Premier League.
