Things could get messy pretty early when Liverpool hosts Fulham in Premier League action this Sunday. Liverpool are currently tied with Chelsea for second place in the league with 27 points through 11 games, while Fulham are in dead last with a measly five points. The oddsmakers have made the Reds massive favorites per the EPL betting line ahead of this one, and Liverpool are looking to cash in. They can’t afford to not have all three points in their bid to unseat Manchester City as Premier League champions.

Odds Analysis
Fulham’s defense has been a disaster this season. The Cottagers have given up 29 goals through 11 games, a total that is by far the most in the Premier League. They have allowed 16 goals in their last five games, and even relegation zone counterpart Cardiff City put four goals past Fulham a few weeks ago. Fulham have not won a match since late August, and the shoddy defense has them last in goal differential too with a mark of -18 on the year.
The Reds want to get back on the pitch and put what happened in Serbia behind them. Liverpool lost 2-0 to Red Star Belgrade in Champions League action earlier in the week, and that has put a serious dent in their hopes of advancing to the knockout rounds of the competition in a group with Napoli and Paris Saint-Germain. They have done well in the Premier League to this point though, avoiding dropping points to mid-tier teams like they did last year. Their only three non-wins were draws versus Chelsea, Manchester City, and Arsenal.
Key Injuries
There will be two players out for Fulham in this match. Kevin McDonald has been dealing with a muscular injury and no timetable has been given for his return to the Cottagers. Joe Bryan is currently out with a knock too, yet he is expected to be back with the club after the international break.
Jurgen Klopp did get some great news ahead of this one. Jordan Henderson, Dejan Lovren, and Nathaniel Clyne had all been questionable to play, but all three players have been given the all clear and are expected to start in this one. Joe Gomez appears fine after an Achilles heel issue too.
Player to Watch
There’s little chance of Fulham stopping Liverpool’s offense in this match, so Aleksander Mitrovic will need to put the bad performances that have plagued him in the rear view. Mitrovic got off to a fantastic start for the Cottagers this season, firing home five goals in five matches. However, he has not scored in six straight matches, and that has put a serious damper on this team’s hopes of fending off relegation. Fulham will likely need at least two goals to get a result, so Mitrovic needs to come through.
Prop Bet of the Game – Liverpool over 3.5 goals at +107
It’s not often that I would consider a bet like this, but Fulham’s defense is just that bad. Liverpool won’t have to worry about resting players ahead of the international break, so Klopp can start his full squad and tell them to have fun. Roberto Firmino is fresh and Naby Keita has recovered from a knock to be in the lineup. They will pair with Sadio Mane and Mo Salah to have a great afternoon.

This looks like a bloodbath in the making. The Reds are just too overpowering on offense, and the Cottagers have been lost on the attack. Liverpool will win this one big.
