With all the talk of Manchester City potentially catching Liverpool at the top of the table, people seem to be slipping on the fact that Tottenham Hotspur aren’t too far behind either. Spurs are just two points behind City and five points behind Liverpool and have an outside chance at winning just their second league title ever. Despite not being able to add any players during the transfer window, they have done incredibly well, and they will look to catapult themselves even further with a win over Leicester City this weekend.

Odds Analysis
Leicester City have not won a match since defeating Everton in Goodison Park on New Year’s Day, but the Foxes have picked up some nice results this campaign. They knocked off Chelsea in Stamford Bridge, drew Manchester City at home, and drew Liverpool in Anfield in the last six weeks. Head-scratching losses to Southampton and Cardiff City at home have kept Leicester City from rising too far in the table though, and they currently sit in 11th place.
Spurs’ injury woes sent them out of the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup, but they have won their last three Premier League matches since losing at home to a rejuvenated Manchester United team. It hasn’t been easy though. They needed an extra time goal to beat Fulham, goals in the 80th and 87th minute to beat Watford, and an 83rd minute goal to beat Newcastle United. They have left their fans with their hearts in their throats, but they have accomplished the task at hand.
Key Injuries
Daniel Amartey is out for one more month for Leicester City. Amartey has been dealing with an ankle injury that has kept him out since early November, and the club is awaiting his return. Marc Albrighton picked up an injury over the weekend, and he has been ruled out for this match already.
Two Spurs’ stars are out for another month, but the club recently got good news when it came to one of them. Harry Kane was expected back in mid-March, but his timetable has been moved up to early March as he has recovered more quickly than expected. That’s great news for Tottenham, since Kane is the star the club has desperately held on to for so long. Dele Alli is going to be out until mid-March with a thigh injury, and Ben Davies is out for an unspecified period of time because of a strained groin.
Player to Watch
Son Heung-min has been the spark Tottenham have needed with Kane and Alli both out. Son had a breakout year last season, and he has been even better this year. He has been able to function as both the primary forward and the off-man to Kane, and that versatility has given Tottenham options. He has tallied in each of his last two games and has now scored 10 goals on the year.
Previous Meeting
Tottenham got the better of Leicester City in their previous meeting this season. Spurs picked up goals from Son and Alli in a 2-0 road win. However, Leicester City had their share of chances with 11 shots, so they could find the back of the net at least once here.
Prop Bet – Leicester City First Half +404
Spurs have been strong in the second half, but they have not been getting off to good starts. Leicester City have fared very well against Big Six clubs, so I’ll take a 4-1 flier on the Foxes getting out to a lead against Spurs here.
Free Soccer Betting Pick
Leicester City have a really good chance of getting a result. They play up to their competition, and Tottenham are due to drop points considering their need to rally in recent weeks.
English Premier League Odds: Leicester City 2, Tottenham Hotspur 2
