There are just three more games separating Manchester City from repeating as Premier League champions. They are one point ahead of Liverpool in the standings, and as long as City win their last three matches, they will keep the league title at the Etihad. This week is probably their toughest remaining test as they travel to take on Burnley after facing rivals Manchester United on Wednesday. The Clarets have been playing good football and will be looking to stop City’s coronation.

Odds Analysis
Burnley were mired in the relegation battle for much of the season, but over the last month they have finally played themselves to safety. They have reached the key 40-point threshold, and the Clarets are nine points ahead of Cardiff City with three matches to go in the season. This team has earned results in each of their last four games, beating Wolves, Bournemouth, and Cardiff City by multiple goals before drawing with Chelsea on Monday.
The Citizens may be out of the Champions League, but they still have a chance to make history. No team has won a domestic treble in English soccer history, and Manchester City can do that by winning their final four matches. They survived a tough stretch with wins in back-to-back matches against Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United in the last week, and victories over Burnley, Leicester City, Brighton, and Watford will give them the League Cup, the FA Cup, and the Premier League title.
The first game between these teams was a rout. Manchester City led Burnley 1-0 at halftime thanks to a Sergio Aguero goal, but they poured it on after the break with goals from Bernardo Silva, Fernandinho, Riyad Mahrez, and Leroy Sane in a 5-0 shellacking.
Key Injuries
Steven Defour has been ruled out for the remainder of the season on the side of Burnley due to a calf injury, while Aaron Lennon will not play for at least one more week. Peter Crouch is unlikely to play for the rest of the year, but Phillip Bardsley has a good chance of returning to the pitch on Sunday.
Kevin De Bruyne continues to be bitten by the injury bug this season. This is the third time he has been injured, and City might just shut him down for the rest of the year at this point. Claudio Bravo has yet to play this season after being hurt over the summer, and Fernandinho is doubtful for this match after suffering an injury in the Manchester Derby. Ilkay Gundogan is questionable to suit up.
Player to Watch
Ederson doesn’t receive as much credit as he should since he plays for a titan like Manchester City, but the Brazilian has been great in net this year. He was recently rewarded by being named to the PFA Team of the Year, and he hasn’t made the mistakes that have plagued other top goalkeepers like David De Gea and Hugo Lloris.
Prop Bet – Under 3 +132
I’ve been riding the under in Manchester City games recently, and they’ve continued to cash. City plays a different brand of football when they have to play midweek games, and that has led to diminished scoring opportunities. After a tough midweek match with rivals Manchester United, I see them playing another low scoring game here.

Burnley is the last team with a real chance to stop Manchester City. Leicester City and Brighton have not been in good form, while the Clarets have looked strong. I don’t think they can pull it off, but I might take a flyer on Burnley at these odds.
