It was announced earlier this week that Manchester City had become the first billion-dollar club in England. The Citizens’ brass has spent at least $1 billion this year between transfer fees and wages on players, and that has made them the odds-on favorites per the soccer betting odds to win the Premier League once again. They are massive favorites on the Asian Handicap line coming into their tilt with Norwich City this week.

Odds Analysis
Norwich City’s return to the Premier League has been a fun ride so far. The Canaries continue to play a wide-open and exhilarating brand of football, paying no heed to others that say they should go a more conservative route.
The schedule makers weren’t too kind to Norwich City early this year with matches against Liverpool, Chelsea, and now Manchester City in their first five games. However, while they were thrashed by Liverpool, they nearly took a result from the Blues, losing a 3-2 thriller. Their other two matches were against Newcastle United and West Ham. Norwich knocked off Newcastle 3-1, but they fell 2-0 to West Ham before the international break. That has the Canaries in the relegation zone for now.
Manchester City is in second place, trailing Liverpool by two points. A home draw against Tottenham Hotspur in their second game of the season has been the club’s only hiccup, and they have otherwise manhandled the opposition. The Citizens outscored West Ham, Bournemouth, and Brighton & Hove Albion by a combined margin of 12-1. Sergio Aguero has scored in each match to become the leader in the race to win the Premier League Golden Boot.
Key Injuries
Timm Klose ruptured his PCL prior to the international break, so Norwich will be without Klose and Onel Hernandez for a significant amount of time after knee surgery. Tom Trybull is sidelined for another month due to an ankle injury, and Christoph Zimmermann is doubtful here after sustaining a foot injury against West Ham. Grant Hanley is probable to play.
The Citizens continue to have bad injury luck. Leroy Sane suffered a major knee injury just before the start of the season, and Aymeric Laporte will miss a significant amount of time as well after sustaining a major knee injury against Brighton prior to the international break. Benjamin Mendy is doubtful with a knee injury too, but at least John Stones, Ilkay Gundogan, and Fernandinho are likely to play.
Player to Watch
Teemu Pukki is one goal behind Aguero in the race to be the top scorer in the Premier League, and he is the focal point of Norwich’s attack. He led the Championship in goals last season, and the Finnish forward has five of the Canaries’ six goals this year. If Norwich scores, Pukki is likely to have a hand in the action.
Prop Bet – Over 2.5 Goals and Both Teams to Score -120
This might be one of the highest scoring matches of the season, so taking over 2.5 goals seems like a no brainer. If Norwich play their typical style, they will concede a few goals, but they are likely to score too, making this bet a probable winner.
Free Soccer Betting Pick
It’s tough to see Norwich City securing a point, but this should be one of the most fun matches of the season. The football on the field will be entertaining and daring as both teams are intent on scoring, giving fans a bevy of goal scoring chances.
English Premier League Odds: Manchester City 4, Norwich City 2
