Millions of dollars are likely at stake in the second meeting between Manchester United and Arsenal this season. Currently Manchester United are in fourth place and slated to earn a spot in next year’s Champions League, but Arsenal are one point behind them and looking to grab that spot for themselves. If one of these teams can pick up a win, they will put themselves in the driver’s seat to finish fourth, while a draw would leave Arsenal ruing its missed opportunity.

Odds Analysis
It’s an incredible time to be a Manchester United fan. The season looked like a waste four months in, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has completely turned things around at Old Trafford. The Red Devils rallied to put themselves in contention for the Champions League when they were expected to finish no better than sixth, and their recent 3-1 road win over Paris Saint-Germain sent supporters into outright jubilation. Manchester United are now somehow in the quarterfinals and will receive an unexpected windfall that will help during the transfer period.
The goal for Unai Emery during his first year in charge of Arsenal has not changed since the beginning of the season. It will be considered a success if he takes the Gunners back to the Champions League by either winning the Europa League or qualifying through league play. Their Europa League hopes took a big hit after a 3-1 loss to Rennes in the first leg of their tie on Thursday, but they have done what ‘s been needed since losing to Manchester City in early February. Arsenal won three straight league games before earning a road draw with Tottenham last weekend.
This will be the third meeting between these two sides this year. In mid-December, Arsenal and Manchester United played to a 2-2 draw in Old Trafford, and at the end of January, United went on the road to knock off Arsenal 3-1 in the FA Cup.
Key Injuries
Hector Bellerin, Danny Welbeck, and Rob Holding are all long-term injuries for Arsenal, and it’s unlikely that any of the three players will play again this season after undergoing major surgery. To make matters worse, Lucas Torreira will be suspended for next few matches after being shown a red card in the waning minutes against Tottenham last week.
The injury situation for Manchester United is dire, and that’s what made the road win over PSG all the more stunning. Alexis Sanchez, Antonio Valencia, Nemanja Matic, Eric Bailly, Ander Herrera, Juan Mata, and Jesse Lingard are all expected to miss this match. Matteo Darmian is doubtful, while Phil Jones and Anthony Martial are both questionable.
Player to Watch
What has gotten into Romelu Lukaku? The star-crossed striker has always had incredible talent, but his finishing has kept him from being considered elite. He has had no such problems over the last two weeks though, and that has meant the world to Manchester United. Lukaku has netted a brace in three straight matches, and a fourth would send him into rarified air.
Prop Bet – Arsenal FC to win to nil +326
I think it’s more likely than not that Manchester United nets at least one goal here, but this price is too good to pass up. The Gunners have been more solid in defense after some of their top defenders have returned from injury, and there is both a letdown and fatigue effect working against Manchester United.
