Manchester United are attempting to salvage their season. The Red Devils have a long way to go, but they are back up to eighth in the table and they have a chance to get level with one of the clubs in front of them when they face Bournemouth this week. It’s been a great start to the season for Bournemouth. The Cherries are currently in sixth place at 6-2-2, and they are almost certainly assured of a fourth straight season in the Premier League next year despite being the smallest club at England’s highest level. Their best ever finish is ninth, and they would love to top that.

Odds Analysis
Jose Mourinho was thought to be a dead man walking at the start of the month, but Manchester United have not performed poorly since the international break. Mourinho’s job was saved after an exhilarating comeback win against Newcastle United right before the break, and his club picked up a crucial draw against Chelsea in Stamford Bridge when the Premier League picked up play once more. A loss to Juventus in Champions League action was understandable, but they grabbed a win over Everton last weekend and looked sharp in doing so.
Interestingly enough, Bournemouth have been on the receiving end of numerous silly challenges this season. Four different clubs have had a player pick up a red card against the Cherries in their 10 Premier League matches, and they are 3-1-0 on those games. To be fair, all of those results were in place at the time of the red card, but the discipline left their opponents shorthanded and unable to mount any sort of comeback.
Key Injuries
Bournemouth are largely healthy heading into this match. The Cherries don’t have any definite scratches, but two players may not suit up. Simon Francis is considered doubtful as he deals with a strained groin and Joshua King is questionable with an ankle injury.
Manchester United won’t have two players available. Right back Diogo Dalot suffered a knock and has already been ruled out, while midfielder Marouane Fellaini will be sidelined by a groin issue. Midfielders Antonio Valencia and Scott McTominay are questionable to play. Valencia had dental surgery recently, while McTominay is nursing a knee issue.
Matchup to Watch
The Cherries have not gotten their record through a bevy of low scoring games, and that’s a sign there is some real talent on the club. They are the fifth-highest scoring team in the Premier League, and Ryan Fraser, Callum Wilson, and David Brooks have all gotten out to splendid starts this season. At home, Bournemouth is unlikely to sit back and hope for the best against a Manchester United back line that has had some woes with 17 goals conceded on the year.
Prop Bet of the Game – Bournemouth to win either half +115
Given Manchester United’s lapses, I think this is the best prop bet to make. The Cherries are a good team, and they will be fired up going into this bout with one of the Premier League’s blue bloods. The Red Devils have made a bevy of mistakes this season, and that will give Bournemouth a good chance to win one of these two halves.

I think the over is a decent play in this one, and I would play Bournemouth on the goal line too. The Cherries have been pretty good at home, and Manchester United are not out of the woods with their play. I would make a bet on the draw if I had to make a play on the three-way line.
English Premier League Odds: Bournemouth 2, Manchester United 2
