Odds Analysis
Huddersfield Town have not been great on the offensive end this season. The Terriers have tallied just four goals through eight games, and their three results have all been low scoring draws. However, the last time out, they dominated the stat sheet in a 1-1 draw against Burnley. Huddersfield Town outshot their opponents by a margin of 19 to 6, and they controlled the ball for 69 percent of the match. They are sure to go in a shell against Liverpool this week, but that offensive performance should have given the team a spot of confidence prior to the international break.
As for Liverpool, the Reds have taken care of business in all of their matches. They have picked up six wins in their six matches against lesser opponents, and they notched draws in their two games against other top tier teams. That has them in prime position to potentially knock off reigning champions Manchester City.
Key Injuries
The international break was not kind to Liverpool. The Reds saw three of their best players go down with injuries, and their status is somewhat in doubt for this game. Mo Salah picked up a thigh injury last week, while Sadio Mane broke his thumb, and Naby Keita was carried off with a hamstring injury. Mane is listed as questionable, while Salah and Keita need to undergo scans to determine the severity of their injuries. Additionally, James Milner is listed as doubtful, while Adam Lallana is probable.
There are a number of injuries on the side of Huddersfield Town too. The most significant one was to Aaron Mooy. Mooy suffered a groin injury in the Terriers’ tie with Burnley, and he pulled out of international play in a bid to recover in time for this one. His status is up in the air as of Tuesday though. Ramadan Sobhi, Abdelhamid Sabiri, and Danny Williams are questionable too, while Christopher Schidler is probable and Philip Billing is doubtful. Terence Kongolo is out for a month with a hamstring issue.
Player to Watch
With so many players banged up on the side of Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp is likely to lean on Roberto Firmino more than usual for offense. Firmino has played well to start the season, but he hasn’t been too special. He has just two goals in eight matches in Premier League play, and he has notched one goal in two Champions League matches.
Firmino sat out of Brazil’s first friendly against Saudi Arabia, but he did feature in their match against Argentina on Tuesday. He’ll have three days off before this one.
Prop Bet of the Game – Liverpool to win to nil -117
The Reds have been fantastic in defense this year. Rather than win games with their offense like they did last year, they have been more than content to win with their defense this season. They have allowed just three goals through eight matches and considering their injury woes, they may take more of a defensive posture than usual. Huddersfield Town have been unable to create much offense, and it’s unlikely that changes here.

I think that Liverpool will pick up the victory in this one, but it will be a low scoring match. The Reds have faith in Alisson and won’t press too much after scoring the first goal.
