It’s been a rough week for Tottenham Hotspur fans. Tottenham hosted Liverpool in a battle of top Premier League clubs last week, but they were unable to get a point. All they could muster was a measly Erik Lamela goal three minutes into injury time, and the outcome had been long decided by then.
That doesn’t compare to how Spurs fans felt after blowing a 1-0 lead late against Inter Milan in their Champions League clash on Tuesday though. Tottenham needs every point it can get in a group with Inter and Barcelona, and a road win would have been big. Instead, they were dealt a defeat and now the club is reeling. They will look to right the ship against Brighton & Hove Albion in Saturday’s primetime match.

Odds Analysis
Brighton has already knocked off one of England’s major clubs at home this season. A few weeks ago, they defeated Manchester United 3-2 and sent the Red Devils into a slump. The Seagulls have not been able to follow up on that success though, picking up draws against Fulham and Southampton. They are 1-2-2 and sitting at 14th in the table heading into this match.
Spurs fans were optimistic about their Premier League chances after a big 3-0 win at Old Trafford gave them the full nine points through the first three games of the season. However, they have backslid since then, losing on the road to Watford and at home to Liverpool. Currently, Tottenham is 3-0-2 and 6th in the standings.
Key Injuries
The Seagulls are hoping that Pascal Gross can play in this match, but that’s looking increasingly unlikely. Gross is one of Brighton’s main playmakers and not having him against Tottenham would hurt their chances of getting a result. He is listed as doubtful due to a foot injury, along with Jose Izquierdo. Florin Andone is listed as questionable for this match.
Tottenham will once again be without starting goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and Vincent Janssen. Juan Marcos Foyth is doubtful, Dele Alli is questionable, and Moussa Sissoko is probable.
Player to Watch
Harry Kane is getting some heat from the media for Tottenham’s recent woes. Spurs have lost three in a row, and Kane’s inability to score in any of the three losses has some asking questions of Tottenham’s main man.
Kane was the Premier League’s Golden Boot winner in two of the last three seasons and finished second in goals to Mo Salah last year. He has just two goals through five games this season though, and many are wondering when Kane will break out.
Prop Bet of the Game – Tottenham to score 3 or more goals at +193
I’m banking on a breakout game for Kane and the rest of Tottenham. Spurs might not have Dele Alli, but they have a significant amount of firepower. Kane, Son Heung-Min, Christian Eriksen, and Lucas Moura are a threatening foursome, and this could be the game where they let all of their frustration out in one fell swoop. With Lloris out, they know they need to score to win, and that makes Tottenham to score 3 or more goals a good Premier League prop bet.
Free Soccer Betting Pick
Since I like Tottenham to score in bunches, you know I’m going to be playing both Tottenham and the over too. Spurs need a win to keep from falling too far behind the top of the table, and they will get a big victory here.
English Premier League Odds: Tottenham Hotspur 3, Brighton & Hove Albion 1
