Odds Analysis
Huddersfield Town are slowly trying to move themselves out of the cellar of the Premier League. The Terriers are in the relegation zone coming into this match, but they have begun to pick up results and are moving in the right direction. Before the international break, Huddersfield were able to knock off Fulham thanks to an own goal from the Cottagers, and they picked up a point over West Ham two weeks ago.
The Wanderers had a great September and October got off on the right foot with a win over Crystal Palace. However, Wolverhampton lost three straight matches after that, falling to Watford, Brighton and Hove Albion, and Tottenham Hotspur. They were able to grab a big point on the road against Arsenal in their last match before the international break, and they are looking to carry that momentum forward to their next two matches before facing Chelsea in two weeks.
Key Injuries
Mathias Jorgensen will be suspended for this match as a result of acquiring five yellow cards already this season. Chris Lowe will be out for a while after undergoing shoulder surgery during the international break, and he isn’t expected to return to Huddersfield Town until the new year. The Terriers are hopeful that Jonas Lossl and Danny Williams will be available for this one though.
Wolves won’t have Jonny Castro Otto until Boxing Day at the very least. Otto suffered a slight tear in his knee, and he is expected to miss five to six weeks as a result. Matt Doherty might be able to play though despite having a facial injury.
Matchup to Watch
The Wolves run a multi-faceted attack that doesn’t go through any one player. However, if you are going to say that one player is the string-puller, it’s Raul Jimenez. Jimenez leads Wolverhampton in goals and assists with three goals and four assists through the first third of the season. He will be the man the fans call for to break through the Terriers defense and lead Wolves to victory.
Huddersfield Town will rely on their defense, because they don’t have much of an offense. The Terriers like to try to stall out games and hope for a point, and that’s likely what they’ll do here. They have scored just six goals through 12 matches, and that total is by far the fewest in the league.

Rui Patricio has been great for Wolverhampton since coming over. Manager Nuno Espirito Santo filled his side with Portuguese players during the summer transfer window, and Patricio was a player that he highly coveted. It’s pretty clear that was a smart decision, as Wolves have been one of the better defensive teams in the Premier League and Patricio has been one of the top goalkeepers. Huddersfield Town will park the bus and won’t threaten much, so I think 1-0 is a likely score line.
