England have had their fair share of disappointment at the World Cup. The Three Lions have been unable to make it to the semifinals since 1990, and they failed to get out of the Group Stage in Brazil, coming in dead last. The English are big favorites to come out of Group G this time though. England and Belgium are seen as the two powers in this group, while Tunisia and Panama are seen as the also-rans. Tunisia will look to prove that isn’t the case when they take on England in the last match on Monday.
The most anticipated sporting event in the world comes around once every four years, so don’t miss any of the 2018 World Cup. This match will take place at Volgograd Arena in Volgograd at 2 p.m. ET on Monday, June 18, 2018. Catch every moment of the match live on FS1.

Recent Form
Tunisia is back at the World Cup for the first time since 2006, and they are looking to pick up their first win since 1978. The Eagles of Carthage were able to best a somewhat easy qualifying group, and they have had some promising results in friendlies.
Rather than feast on minnows, Tunisia decided to test themselves by facing some of the top European teams in friendlies prior to the start of the World Cup. They took on both Portugal and Spain, picking up a draw against Portugal and only lost to Spain 1-0. Against competition that wasn’t as difficult, Tunisia played well. They drew Turkey and knocked off both Costa Rica and Iran.
England topped their qualifying group, and they have played well prior to the tournament too. They were able to beat the Netherlands in their first friendly, and they followed that up with a draw against Italy. This month, England picked up a 2-1 win over Nigeria and then defeated Costa Rica 2-0 last week.
Player to Watch
A lot of Tunisia’s success will depend on Wahbi Khazri. Khazri is the team’s vice-captain, and he is the only player on the roster who has scored more than 10 goals. He wasn’t supposed to be in this position. Youssef Msakni was the team’s primary offensive weapon, but he tore his ACL in a game against Costa Rica in late March, and he will be unable to participate in the World Cup.
That puts the onus on Khazri. He came up in the French system and earned some caps for the French youth team before switching to Tunisia. Khazri is a strong player that can play a number of positions, and that makes him someone to mark the entire time.
Matchup to Watch
Tunisia is very solid in the back. The country does not have a lot of talent or experience in defense, but their numbers speak for themselves. Opponents have had a hard time breaking through, and England is going to want to establish themselves early in this one.
Harry Kane is no longer the future for England, he is the present. Kane is one of the top forwards in the world, and he will be looking to take his country deep into the bracket at the World Cup. He has battled injuries this year, but he is healthy now and shouldn’t be bothered by anything lingering. Kane is capable of some absolutely phenomenal strikes, and he isn’t afraid to shoot.

The goalkeeping situation is looming over England here. None of the goalkeepers on the team have more than eight caps, and that inexperience could come back to haunt a team that has had some problems in that regard at the last couple World Cups.
