The last match of the Round of 16 has the potential to provide the spiciest drama. Colombia and England have some of the most passionate fans at the World Cup and both teams have their sights set on the Semifinals given their draw. Whichever team advances between these two will be a heavy favorite when they take on the winner of Sweden and Switzerland in the Quarterfinals. Each side has their sights set on a deep run and national glory, but only one can emerge out of this tilt.
The most anticipated sporting event in the world comes around once every four years, so don’t miss any of the 2018 World Cup. This match will take place at Spartak Stadium in Moscow at 2 p.m. ET on Tuesday, July 3, 2018. Catch every moment of the match live on FOX.

Recent Form
England has only given us one great performance at the World Cup, so it’s a little surprising to see them as close to an odds-on favorite. That may speak to the loyalty of the English punter though.
In their first match, the Three Lions had trouble scoring on Tunisia. They had plenty of opportunities, but the score was level for much of the match before Harry Kane scored his second in stoppage time to give England a 2-1 win and a sigh of relief. England left no doubt who the better side was in their second match though. The English put up five goals on Panama in the first half of their tilt and cruised to a 6-1 victory. Kane was the Man of the Match with a hat trick, thanks to two penalties, and John Stones added a brace with his dominance on set pieces.
For the finale with Belgium, England won by losing. The 1-0 loss they “suffered” left them in second place in the group. That was a good thing though as it put them in the much easier bracket, and now they have a dream run.
Colombia proved to be one of the most resilient teams at the World Cup after bouncing back following a disastrous first match. Carlos Sanchez Moreno picked up a red card in the third minute, and that led to a penalty as well as Colombia being down a man for the rest of the match. They fought back, but they still managed to lose 2-1 and saw their World Cup hopes fall into jeopardy.
Of course, the Colombians came back to win the Group Stage. They hammered Poland in their second match 3-0 with James Rodriguez having a fantastic game in the victory. They followed that up with a 1-0 victory over Senegal in order to win the group.
Key Absence
It sounds like Colombia may not have Rodriguez available for this match. Manager Jose Pekerman said that he is “extremely concerned” about Rodriguez after the star player limped off the pitch 30 minutes into their do-or-die match with Senegal.
Rodriguez is set to underdo an MRI this weekend, and that will determine whether or not he is able to kit up against England. It would be a big blow for Colombia if they did not have the 2014 Golden Boot winner.
Player to Watch
Harry Kane has been fantastic through two matches. Kane sat out England’s last match, resting his legs in a match they didn’t need to win, but he has five goals in two games. He has been phenomenal on set pieces and dangerous in the run of play to this point. Colombia must be aware of where he is on the pitch at all times.

This game has a chance to be the most wide-open. England should not be favored by this much, so there is value in Colombia and the draw, but I think England will eventually advance. My opinion would be different if Rodriguez was able to play, yet that seems unlikely.
