It should come as absolutely no surprise that the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers are the top favorites with the 2020 World Series Odds. In fact, it can even be said that based on all of the preseason hype they should be even more expensive than they currently are. The scandal ravaged Houston Astros are still in the top tier of World Series favorites followed by the Atlanta Braves, defending World Series champion Washington Nationals, Minnesota Twins, New York Mets and St. Louis Cardinals. Let’s take a look at the prospects for teams looking to win it all as 2020 World Series champions.
We’ll have MLB Odds at Bookmaker.eu available for every game of the 2020 MLB season.

2020 World Series Odds Betting Analysis
First thing first is that teams simply don’t repeat as World Series champions like they did back in the pre-wild card days. The 2000 New York Yankees were the last repeat champion. Which casts plenty of doubt on an upstart Washington Nationals team that came out of nowhere to win the World Series in shocking fashion last year. With Gerrit Cole arriving at the Bronx to further bolster an already loaded team and with Mookie Betts making his way to LA from the Boston Red Sox its no surprise that the Yankees and Dodgers are top public picks with the 2020 World Series Odds.
New York Yankees
It’s no exaggeration to say that Cole’s arrival has caused mass hysteria with the already sizable Yankee Nation fan base and causal gamblers. Adding fuel to the fire is the expectation that 2017 AL Rookie of the Year Aaron Judge is expected back for his first full season in three years.
Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers have been the most dominant regular season team in the National League for three straight years but have been snake bit in what is now a crapshoot playoff format. Betts will bolster an already potent lineup that ranked fifth in MLB for runs scored last year. As for pitching nobody was better than LA for 2019 and that’s not likely to change.
Houston Astros
Lost in all of the moralizing, virtue signaling, and pontificating is the fact that this is still a championship caliber roster. Veteran manager Dusty Baker could prove to be the perfect stop gap as manger as well as a calming influence.
Atlanta Braves
Speaking of bad playoff luck, the Braves are the poster child of Major League Baseball for that department. Yet there is the understandable theory that eventually the breaks have to go Atlanta’s way. Once again, the Braves are expected to have quality pitching and a balanced lineup. A third consecutive NL East title is likely.
Overrated and Coming Back?
The Minnesota Twins, New York Mets, and St. Louis Cardinals all made big leaps forward in 2019. It stands to reason that their respective high tides may recede, at least a little, for 2020. By contrast the Cleveland Indians are a good team that took a step back for 2019 and may be a good value to return to prominence. The Tribe combines quality with price!
