The 2022 MLB betting season hasn’t gone as planned for the Chicago White Sox or their fan base. Injuries have crippled this team right from the outset which has forced Tony LaRussa to go to his skeleton closet just to fill out a full lineup on a gamely basis. Yoan Moncada has yet to take the playing field. The “China Doll” otherwise known as Eloy Jimenez won’t be back on the playing field until late June at the very least. In other words, the Pale Hose odds of winning it all at online sportsbooks have fattened up dramatically since first hitting the board. The same can’t and won’t be said of Joe Maddon’s Los Angeles Angels who currently sit a half-game in back of the Seattle Mariners for AL West supremacy. Unlike year’s past, the injury bug is yet to take a big bite out of the roster. If it holds up, it just might have enough in the tank to punch a ticket to the postseason for the first time since 2014.
First pitch for the AL tilt between the Los Angeles Angels and Chicago White Sox is scheduled for Saturday, April 30, 2022. Take it in live on FS1 at 4:05 p.m. ET from Guaranteed Rate Field. Bet on MLB odds and player props at BookMaker.eu every day of the season.

Odds Analysis
The Angels have been one of the bigger surprises in the league through the first three weeks of baseball betting. Sitting 11 games up and seven games down, the $235 return on investment has Mike Trout and Co. clocking in as the seventh best bet in all of baseball. The squad’s been at its best away from Anaheim where it’s scored wins in five of its seven overall played road games $299. On the other side of the coin, the White Sox have been a major disappointment in getting out to an ugly 7-10 start that just saw it snap a prolonged eight-game losing streak by defeating Kansas City 7-3 in the middle game of the division rival’s three-game set. The triumph moved them to 5-3 and up $134 as a host.
Probable Pitchers
Jose Suarez L: The Angels have gotten some superb pitching from its starting staff evidenced by ranking No. 8 in the quality start department. Unfortunately for LA’s south paw, that hasn’t been the case. Suarez currently owns the second worst ERA on the club 5.54 behind Reid Detmers after getting peppered for 11 hits and 8 ER while issuing nine free passes over his 13 total innings of work; no start has been of quality. He was given a cushy six-run lead against Baltimore in his last turn, but still failed to go the five innings needed to log his first win. His wildness has come as quite the surprise after serving up 3.3 BB/9 a year ago. His output to date clocks in at 6.2! Maybe he rights the ship in this spot with Chicago taking the fewest walks in the league.
Lucas Giolito R: Out for just over two-plus weeks, the right-hander returned to the bump earlier this week and took a no-decision after tossing four innings of 1 ER ball with a 9:3 K/BB ratio against the Minnesota Twins; a game Chicago would ultimately lose 6-4 in extra innings. He showed no worse for the wear in that one and is said to be healthy and ready to commence his 2022 campaign. Through eight combined innings, Giolito has conceded just five hits and 1 ER to go along with a 16.9 K/9 while issuing a total of five walks. He’s 2-0 with a 3.81 ERA and .227 BAA over five career starts against the Halos whom he limited to a .152 BAA over two starts a season ago.
Angels vs. White Sox Prediction
With the losing streak finally in the rearview mirror, it’s time for the White Sox to put it behind them and commence becoming one of the bigger players in the American League. While I think LA ultimately goes on to win or split this extended four-game series that wraps on Monday, Saturday’s tilt is one that I foresee Lucas Giolito rising up for to help lead his injury-riddled team to a feel-good victory. Suarez isn’t an arm I trust right now, and I have to imagine both Yasmani Grandal and Luis Robert will be back in the lineup to take advantage of his ineffectiveness. Lay the home chalk with the White Sox and look for the Angels to have issues surpassing their team total as well.
