The Rays defied gravity to win 96 games in 2019 as they made the playoffs for the first time since 2013. The fact remains this is an ultra-low payroll franchise with little in the way of revenue. Much like the Twins the Rays may take a step back for 2020 and offer little in the way of value.
Cleveland Indians
Lost in the American League futures shuffle for 2020 are the Cleveland Indians, who won 93 games last year but failed to make the post season for the first time since 2015. Cleveland boasts one of the best managers of all time in Terry Francona and a reliable pitching staff.
