Friday’s MLB schedule has a marquee matchup in Houston, as the Astros host the Tampa Bay Rays on MLB Network. Apple TV+ has two games, as they will be showing the Los Angeles Angels, with Shohei Ohtani on the mound, at the Toronto Blue Jays and the Cleveland Guardians at the Chicago White Sox. ESPN+ has the game between the Texas Rangers and San Diego Padres. Let’s look to continue the winning with a couple of same game parlays and a three-team parlay. The Detroit Tigers visit the Miami Marlins on Friday night with the Marlins listed as the home favorite. Detroit was somewhat uncertain of their starter for Friday, although it could be Reese Olson. He is 1-4 on the season with an ERA of nearly five. Miami is set to go with Braxton Garrett and he comes into this game at 5-3 with an ERA just over four. The Marlins need to prove to ownership that they are a serious Wild Card contender and this series against Detroit is a good one for them to show everyone they are a true contender. I’ll go with Miami and the game over the total.

The Tampa Bay Rays visit the Houston Astros on Friday night and it should be Shane McClanahan going for Tampa, while Houston sends Cristian Javier. McClanahan is 11-1 on the season with a 2.89 ERA but he has not looked the same since a minor back injury caused him to miss time. Javier is 7-2 with a 4.32 ERA and he has not been as good as he was earlier this season. I’ll go with Houston and the game to go over the total.

The Mets are trying to hang around the Wild Card race in the National League, but they have a lot of work to do. They have a chance to pick up ground in their next series as they host the Washington Nationals. It should be MacKenzie Gore going for Washington, while New York sends Max Scherzer. It is time for Scherzer to put on a dominating performance and the Nationals are the perfect team for him to do it against. Regardless of who the Nats throw, I’ll go with the Mets and Scherzer as the first team in the parlay.
The St. Louis Cardinals host the Chicago Cubs on Friday and it should be Jordan Montgomery going for St. Louis. This play is all about Montgomery who is rolling right now and a trade target for many teams. He is 6-8 on the season but his ERA is 3.37. I’ll take St. Louis with Montgomery as the second team in the parlay.
The final team in the parlay will be the Los Angeles Dodgers who are at home against the Cincinnati Reds. It should be Brandon Williamson going for Cincinnati, while the Dodgers go with Bobby Miller. Williamson is 2-2 with a 4.60 ERA for Cincinnati, while Miller is 6-1 with a 4.28 ERA for the Dodgers. I’ll take Los Angeles as the final team in the parlay.
