Friday’s have been one of our better days for MLB parlay picks this season and we need a big day on Friday because the inevitable slump has occurred. We were on a really good run of hitting at least one parlay per week, but the last few parlays have come up short. Friday is Apple TV+ day and that means two games, as the Pittsburgh Pirates visit the Miami Marlins in a matchup of surprise teams this season, while the New York Mets visit the Philadelphia Phillies in a battle of disappointing teams. ESPN+ has the game between the Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers, while MLB Network has the late game between the Houston Astros and Los Angeles Dodgers. We’ll look at three sides for the three-team parlay on Friday night. Let’s look at Friday, June 23 MLB parlay picks.

Atlanta Braves
The Atlanta Braves visit the Cincinnati Reds on Friday night in a battle between two of the top teams in the National League. The probable pitching matchup on Friday has Jared Schuster going for Atlanta, while Cincinnati throws Luke Weaver. I don’t really care who the Braves throw, as this is a play against Weaver. I have no idea why Weaver is in a starting rotation. He is 1-2 with a 6.47 ERA this season. And I know the Reds have won his last four starts but it sure wasn’t due to his pitching, as he has given up a combined 18 runs in those starts and didn’t make it past the 6th in any of them. I’ll take the Braves as the first team in the parlay.
Tampa Bay Rays
For the next two games we are going to keep it really simple and go against bad teams on the road. The Kansas City Royals visit the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday and it should be Zack Greinke going for the Royals, while the Rays send Zach Eflin. Many people still give Greinke respect as a starting pitcher but there is no reason to fear him. He is 1-7 this season with a 4.81 ERA. He is even worse on the road with an 0-4 record and an ERA of more than six. Eflin is definitely underrated, as he is 8-3 with a 3.26 ERA. The Rays have been superb at home this season and this should be an easy win. I’ll take the Rays as the second team in the parlay.
San Diego Padres
The Washington Nationals visit the San Diego Padres on Friday night and the probable pitching matchup has Patrick Corbin going for the Nationals, while the Padres send Joe Musgrove. The pitching matchups really don’t matter much in this series, as the Nationals are a complete train wreck right now, while the Padres are a team on the move in the National League West. The only starting pitcher that would worry me for the Nationals is Josiah Gray and early indications are that he won’t pitch until Saturday. Corbin is 4-8 with a 4.89 ERA and he normally goes five or six innings and gives up about four runs. Musgrove is 5-2 with a 4.22 ERA. He has been better at home with a 3-1 record and an ERA just over three. I’ll take the Padres as the last team in the parlay.
