There is just over a week remaining in the 2023 Major League Baseball regular season and playoff spots are still up for grabs. Two of the biggest series starting on Friday have the Toronto Blue Jays at the Tampa Bay Rays and the Seattle Mariners at the Texas Rangers. Fridays are Apple TV+ night but unfortunately their selection of games is oftentimes very weak. This time around they have the New York Mets at the Philadelphia Phillies and the San Francisco Giants at the Los Angeles Dodgers. ESPN+ has the Toronto-Tampa Bay game and the game between the Arizona Diamondbacks and New York Yankees. MLB Network has the matinee between the Colorado Rockies and Chicago Cubs and the game between the St. Louis Cardinals and San Diego Padres. The Cubs get the benefit of playing the Colorado Rockies the next three days and Chicago needs to take care of business at home. The probable pitching matchup on Friday has Noah Davis going for Colorado, while Chicago sends Jameson Taillon. I don’t really care who the Rockies throw, as I still like the Cubs and the over. I think the Cubs will score a bunch of runs and Taillon is likely to give up his share, as his ERA is 5.27 on the season. I’ll take Chicago and over.
MLB Same Game Parlay #2
San Diego Padres -148
Cardinals-Padres Over 9.5 (-105)
$100 to win $227
This second parlay is a lot like the first one. The Padres need to win at home and the pitching matchup is nothing special. The Cardinals should be sending Dakota Hudson, while the Padres go with Matt Waldron. I don’t really care who the Cardinals go with, as I expect San Diego to score a lot of runs and Waldron is likely to give up at least three or four. I’ll take San Diego and the over.
MLB Three-Game Parlay
Atlanta Braves -270

The three-team parlay will focus on taking three teams headed for the playoffs. We hit a three-teamer on Tuesday night and we’ll try to cash another one on Friday. The Braves are visiting the Nationals on Friday and it should be Charlie Morton going against Patrick Corbin. Morton has been reliable for the Braves, as he is 14-12 with a 3.66 ERA, while Corbin has struggled for the Nats with 10-13 mark and a 5.00 ERA. I’ll take the Braves as the first team in the parlay.
The Phillies host the Mets on Friday and it should be Trevor McGill getting the ball for New York, while the Phillies send Taijuan Walker. McGill is 8-8 with an ERA of nearly five, while Walker is 15-5 with a 4.40 ERA. The Phillies are scoring a lot of runs and they win a lot when Walker is pitching. I’ll take Philadelphia as the second team in the parlay.
I’ll go with the Twins at home against the Angels on Friday. I think you could take the Twins in every game in this series and be just fine, as the Angels have packed it in. They are throwing gas can Tyler Anderson on Friday, while the Twins go with Pablo Lopez. Anderson is 6-6 with a 5.43 ERA, while Lopez is 10-8 with a 3.58 ERA. I’ll take the Twins as the last team in the parlay.
