There are just three days remaining in the 2023 Major League Baseball regular season and playoff spots are still up for grabs. We have had our ups and downs with the same-game parlay picks, but we have hit a couple of three-team parlays of late to end the season on a positive note. MLB Network has a couple of games with playoff implications on Friday, as they will be showing the Chicago Cubs at the Milwaukee Brewers and the Houston Astros at the Arizona Diamondbacks. We’ll keep the same formula for Friday and go with a couple of same-game parlays and a three-team MLB parlay that would pay out big. Let’s look at Friday, September 29 MLB same game parlay picks.

The Cubs are in a battle to make the playoffs, while the Brewers have already clinched the NL Central, but I don’t think it will be easy for Chicago in this series. The Brewers would like nothing more than to keep the Cubs out of the playoffs. I think we will see a pitcher’s duel on Friday, as Kyle Hendricks is expected to go against Brandon Woodruff. Hendricks 6-8 with a 3.66 ERA, while Woodruff is 5-1 with a 2.28 ERA. I’ll go with the Brewers and the game under the total.

Arizona Diamondbacks -115
Astros-Diamondbacks Under 8.5 (-125)

The Astros visit the Diamondbacks in a key late game on Friday. Houston is going to need to have some success in Arizona if they are to make the playoffs. It won’t be easy because Arizona is also battling for a playoff spot. The Diamondbacks have the edge on Friday, as they should be sending Zac Gallen to the mound, while the Astros go with J.P. France. Gallen is 17-8 with a 3.49 ERA but at home he is 12-2 with an ERA of 2.45. France is 11-6 with a 3.83 ERA. I’ll take Arizona and the game under the total.

Baltimore Orioles -165

Seattle Mariners -110

We’ll start our final three-team parlay of the season with one of our favorite teams, the Baltimore Orioles. The Orioles may have already clinched the AL East by the time of this writing, but it doesn’t matter to me, as they are the better team with the better pitcher in this game. The Red Sox should be sending Nick Pivetta, while Baltimore sends John Means. Pivetta has an ERA of 4.25, while Means has an ERA of 2.60. I’ll take Baltimore as the first team in the parlay.
The second team is a bit of a surprise, as I don’t remember the last time I took the Rockies. They host the Twins on Friday and Minnesota should be favored. The key in this one is that the Twins will be holding out any players who have any kind of injury to get them ready for the playoffs. I think we’ll see a bunch of backups on the field for the Twins. I also don’t trust Joe Ryan who is 11-10 with a 4.31 ERA. I have more confidence in Ty Blach who had pitched well until his last couple of starts. I think he turns things around here and the Rockies get the win.
The last team will be the Mariners who need to beat the Rangers in this series. It should be Nathan Eovaldi going for Texas, while Seattle sends Bryan Woo. Eovaldi has not been pitching well for Texas of late and he is simply not the same pitcher since coming back from injury. Woo has been solid for the Mariners and I expect him to get this win.
