There are just over three weeks left in the Major League Baseball regular season as teams try to secure playoff spots. We have been holding our own of late with the parlay picks, including hitting both same-game parlays on Wednesday and we’ll look to make a profit on Friday night. Apple TV+ has the bulk of the Friday night coverage and that is not always good news because they don’t always have the best matchups. This Friday they have the St. Louis Cardinals at the Cincinnati Reds and the San Diego Padres at the Houston Astros. ESPN+ has a key NL East matchup between the Miami Marlins and Philadelphia Phillies, while MLB Network has the Arizona Diamondbacks at the Chicago Cubs and the Milwaukee Brewers at the New York Yankees. We have a couple of same game parlays and a three-team parlay for Friday. Let’s look at Friday, September 8 MLB same game parlay picks.

Cardinals-Reds Over 10.5 (-108)

The Cincinnati Reds are fighting for a playoff spot and they get a good matchup against the St. Louis Cardinals over the next few days. The Cardinals are having a disappointing season and the pitching matchup favors the Reds on Friday. St. Louis is going with Drew Rom who is 0-2 with a 7.24 ERA, while the Reds send Andrew Abbott who is 8-4 with a 3.22 ERA. I’ll take the Reds and the game over the total.

It is never a bad idea to put the Braves in a parlay, as they have the most wins in the league. They host the Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday night and it should be a good pitching matchup with Mitch Keller going against Bryce Elder. Keller comes into this game at 11-8 with a 3.93 ERA, while Elder is 11-4 with a 3.42 ERA. I’ll take the Braves and the under as the second same-game parlay for Friday night.

We’ll try and hit a big paying parlay on Friday night. We’ll start it off with the Diamondbacks in Chicago to play the Cubs. It should be Zac Gallen against Jameson Taillon. Gallen has had two bad outings in a row and I expect him to rebound on Friday against the Cubs. Taillon has been a bust for the Cubs this season and almost all of his outings are bad ones. I’ll take Arizona as the first team in the parlay.
The second team in the parlay is the Mariners who should be sending George Kirby to the mound. Tampa was undecided on their starter, but it doesn’t matter to me, as this is a play on Kirby. He is coming off a bad outing last time out, as he was shelled by the Mets. One thing I have noticed with Kirby is that he usually bounces back with a great game after a poor outing. I’ll take the Mariners as the second team in the parlay.
I am going out on a limb for this last play, but if the pitching matchup holds up, I give the Rockies a chance to win in San Francisco on Friday at nice plus money. I think Ty Blach is a keeper for the Rockies and he has pitched pretty well with a 2-1 record and a 4.33 ERA. He has allowed three runs or less in four of his last five starts. Kyle Harrison has not impressed me for the Giants, as he is 1-1 with a 4.70 ERA. I’ll take the Rockies at plus odds as the last team in the parlay.
