The stretch drive for MLB postseason position is underway, and the race looks like it will come down to the wire. In the National League, the division races are heating up, with the Atlanta Braves mounting a charge against the Philadelphia Phillies in the East and the Los Angeles Dodgers trying to fight off the San Diego Padres and Arizona Diamondbacks in the West. In the American League West, the Houston Astros are starting to pull away from the Seattle Mariners, while the upstart Kansas City Royals and the Minnesota Twins are challenging the Cleveland Guardians in the AL Central. The most heated race in baseball is in the AL East, where the Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees are neck-and-neck.
Also, there is a dogfight in the wild card race, with five teams within 3.5 games of each other in the National League and four teams within 3.5 games of each other in the American League.

Also, the Astros are 50-71 to the under this season. Houston’s bullpen ranks fourth best in MLB. Baltimore stayed under the total in five of its most recent seven games.
The Orioles and Astros should play a tight, quality game on Saturday that has a playoff feel, making or a solid under.

The Atlanta Braves are making their move. Raisel Iglesias has 27 saves in 29 opportunities, a 1.48 ERA, and a stunning 0.64 WHIP. It also helps that the Braves rank 5th for quality starts.
Meanwhile, the Washington Nationals look like a team that is packing it in and ready to hit the links. Washington failed to get the money in six of its most recent eight games, and four of its last six matchups went under the total. Washington ranks a distant 18th for run production and 30th for home runs.
