If you’re a fan of interleague play the MLB schedule for Saturday, June 1 has a number of options for building a winning MLB parlay. Seven of the 15 games on the slate feature teams from the opposite league going head-to-head. The Philadelphia Phillies hit a snag losing three in a row before ending a 2-4 road trip with a 6-1 win over the Giants on Wednesday. The Phils still boast the best record in MLB but the gap is closing. Philly’s closest contender in the NL East and a MLB futures favorite, the Atlanta Braves got some disheartening news when Ronald Acuna Jr. was shelved for the year with a knee injury. Following his departure the Braves went out and lost two of three at home to Washington.

MLB Parlay Picks for Saturday, June 1, 2024
Brewers RL
Padres ML
Yankees / Giants UNDER
$100 to win $600
I nearly hit last week’s three-team MLB parlay falling a Houston moneyline win shy of winning again. One of the AL’s top hitting teams, the Astros got just four singles in a 3-1 loss to Oakland. They won the two games surrounding that loss scoring 11 runs combined. The Phillies covered the 1.5-run spread beating Colorado, 8-4, by scoring six times in the ninth inning. I also had the Guardians beating the Angels outright, which they did.
Sticking with the interleague theme I’m using three games pitting AL vs. NL on this week’s MLB parlay. The Brewers have been somewhat of a surprise leading the NL Central. They took two of three from the Cubs during the week lighting up Shota Imanaga in the finale for seven runs in a 10-6 victory. Imanaga entered the game with an ERA under 1.00. This isn’t so much a hype for the Brewers as it is a knock against the White Sox, who have the worst record in the majors and only five road wins on the season.
I’m not sure how much a game between the Padres and Royals will move the needle, but it’s enough for me to take a look at. San Diego has been stellar on the road winning 17 of 27 games and I still think KC is going to descend at some point. Sure the Royals are a nice story, but it’s a squad that sucked last year so a little regression is in order. And it starts this weekend.
Lastly, the Yankees have been lights out on the bump and they don’t even have their ace. Gerrit Cole is expected to return in the coming weeks, but where do you slide him in on a rotation that’s been dominant. The bullpen hasn’t been bad either with the Yanks boasting the best ERA in baseball. I don’t think the light-hitting Giants will do enough leading to the UNDER being a strong play.
MLB Same Game Parlay
Mariners ML
Angels / Mariners UNDER
$100 to win $225
Baltimore scored five runs in the eighth inning last week to beat the White Sox 5-3 going OVER the total of 7.5. I backed the O’s and also had the UNDER making my same game parlay a loser. I have had more success in this section over the course of the season and will look to get another winner by backing Seattle outright and the UNDER in the AL West matchup with the Angels. Neither team has done much offensively this year with the M’s leading the division thanks to a strong pitching staff. The Mariners have been strong at home as well, winning 18 of their first 28 games at T-Mobile Park.
