I talked myself into backing the New York Yankees as part of my MLB parlay last week and the move failed with the Yankees losing big to the Dodgers. For the second weekend in a row the Bombers take on a bitter rival with AL East foe Boston playing host on Saturday, June 15. The rivalry with LA dates back to the days of the Brooklyn Dodgers while the Red Sox are a division foe that the Yankees have had numerous battles with over the years. There may be some distance between them in the standings but that doesn’t diminish the intense dislike the teams have for each other. The schedule also has two interleague games that are past World Series matchups. The Angels visit San Francisco in a rematch of the 2002 World Series while the Philadelphia at Baltimore game conjures up memories of the 1983 Fall Classic.

Not only did I lose backing the Yankees last week, the Cubs continued their free fall handing me a second loss. As we know it only takes one L on a MLB parlay for that ticket to be a loser. I did avoid the ohfer when the Phillies covered the run line in a 7-2 win over the Mets. And the Phils have been one of the best in MLB against the spread covering in almost 58 percent of their games.
Philadelphia has been a consistent winner as part of my MLB parlays so why not stick with a good thing. Though the Phils are part of my MLB parlay I’m betting against them since the competition is stiff. Baltimore has been good at home and they are facing the bottom of the rotation in Taijuan Walker so I’m counting on the O’s to do some damage offensively.
You can throw the records and stats out the window when the Yankees and Red Sox get together. The fierceness of the rivalry makes games that much better and every few years one of the teams struggles allowing the other to claim dominance. This year the Sox are hovering around .500 while the Yanks are battling with Philly for the best record in MLB. The Yankees love to hit in Fenway Park and their explosive offense with Juan Soto back in the lineup could feast on Boston pitching.
The Rangers and Mariners are two of the top teams in MLB against the UNDER with both cashing roughly 60 percent of the time. At home the M’s under percentage is a few points higher. Throw a couple of quality starters on the bump and you have all the makings for this game to play below the closing total.

I bet against the White Sox last week and they trounced Boston 6-1 sending me to a same game MLB parlay loss. The difference this week is that the Sox are on the road where, following a pair of losses to Seattle, they’ve dropped eight straight. A bad away team that’s scored the fewest runs in the majors leaves me to back Arizona on the run line while banking the UNDER. The Dbacks haven’t quite captured the magic that helped lead them to last year’s World Series, but they are better than Chicago and that’s enough for me.
