I’m going to breathe a little easier this week after breaking out my MLB parlay slump with a same game winner last week. The schedule on the final Saturday of June has some good divisional matchups that can be used to build a winning MLB parlay. Six of the 15 games on the slate will be between division foes with five of them featuring the first place club. One of the best rivalries in baseball takes place when the Dodgers visit the Giants for a primetime FOX telecast. LA opened their road trip with a sweep of the White Sox to become the fourth team this season to win 50 games. Cleveland has taken over as the best team in the AL with the Yankees slumping. The Guardians saw their 7-game winning streak end on Wednesday but are still 24 games over .500 and the most profitable club in MLB.

I didn’t win my three-teamer last week falling short when the Orioles lost in Houston. As has been the case recently I backed one of the better teams right as they begin a slump. The O’s were swept in that three-game series with their pitching rocked for 27 runs. The Cubs and Padres did me a solid both winning straight up. Though I still lost I actually felt better that I at least had two winning picks. It’s the little things that make all the difference.
I’ll stick with those divisional matchups as a theme for my MLB parlays. The Cardinals have been playing strong ball for a few weeks winning nine of their last 12 to climb into second place in the NL Central. Pitching is a huge reason for the Cards’ surge and they get a Reds team that is among the worst offensively. Following Wednesday’s 6-1 loss the Reds cashed the UNDER in 13 of their last 17 games and clubs played below the total in three earlier meetings.
After a mini slump the Phillies got back on track scoring 31 runs in a 4-1 stretch that ended with a 6-2 win over Detroit on Wednesday. They outscored the Marlins 22-12 taking two of three in South Beach last month, and I like the Phils to cover the spread at home in this contest. Miami’s minus 127 run differential is the third worst in MLB.
Lastly we have big series in the AL Central. The Guardians are putting some distance between themselves and the rest of the pack. Up almost $2000 for the season, the team formerly known as the Indians is the most profitable in MLB. I expected the Royals to digress at some point and they have losing 12 of 17 games during a recent stretch.

The Dodgers came through for me last week covering the spread against the Halos with the OVER cashing. And because of that I’m going back to a familiar face in the NL West confrontation between LA and the Giants. The Dodgers have had all kinds of success against their rival winning eight of nine meetings, including five in a row this season, before the Giants won in LA in May. The Dodgers scored just 11 runs in their three-game sweep of the White Sox, but they held them to three runs while dealing a pair of shutouts. With an inconsistent bottom of the order and Mookie Betts out of the lineup some of the potency is gone. The Dodgers can still deal on the bump, though, which is why I’m backing the road team on the moneyline and the UNDER in my second straight same game winner.
