There used to be a time when a game between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox was must-see TV. That is not the case on Tuesday night, as both the Yankees and Red Sox are realistically out of playoff contention. TBS is still showing the game, but there is simply not much interest in watching two teams that are going to miss the playoffs. MLB Network and ESPN+ have the late game between the San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers. We had our parlay winning streak snapped on Friday night, so we’ll look to rebound and come back strong on Tuesday with a couple of same game parlays and a three-team parlay. The Astros look poised to put some distance between themselves and Seattle this week, as the Astros host the Oakland A’s. The Athletics are a bad team going nowhere and they don’t figure to win this game on Tuesday. J.P. Sears is expected to get the ball for Oakland he hasn’t been that bad. He is 4-11 but his ERA of 4.51 is not terrible. Justin Verlander should get the ball for the Astros and he is 11-7 with a 3.23 ERA. I’ll go with the Astros and the game under the total.

Cubs-Rockies Over 12 (-115)
$100 to win $197
When the Rockies are at home and Chris Flexen is on the mound it is almost an automatic over play. In this case we’ll take the Cubs and the game over the total. The probable pitching matchup has Javier Assad going for Chicago, while Flexen goes for Colorado. I don’t really care who the Cubs throw, as this is a play against Flexen and the Rockies. Flexen has an ERA of more than seven for the season. I’ll take Chicago and the game over the total.

Milwaukee Brewers -155

Seattle Mariners -205

The Brewers have been playing well of late and they are at home on Tuesday as they host the Marlins. Miami was undecided on their starter for Tuesday, but it doesn’t matter to me who they throw, as this play will be on the Brewers and Freddy Peralta. He has been solid all season for the Brewers, as he is 11-8 with a 3.89 ERA. I’ll take Milwaukee as the first team in the parlay.
Another game where we have an undecided starting pitcher is in San Francisco, where the Giants host the Cleveland Guardians. The Guardians are expected to send Cal Quantrill to the mound and he has been awful for Cleveland this season with a 2-6 record and a 5.70 ERA. I don’t care who the Giants throw, as this is a play against Cleveland and Quantrill.
The final team in the parlay is Seattle who should have Bryan Woo on the mound against Patrick Sandoval. The Mariners gave Woo extra rest and skipped his spot last time out, so he should be ready for this one. The Angels have packed it in for the season and their lineup, especially if Ohtani isn’t playing, is awful. I’ll take Seattle as the last team in the parlay.
