The Tuesday MLB schedule features two games on TBS, as the Chicago Cubs visit the Atlanta Braves, while the Houston Astros visit the Seattle Mariners. The Cubs are battling for a Wild Card spot, while the Braves are looking to wrap up the best record in the league. The Astros and Mariners are fighting for the AL West title with Texas and for one of the last two Wild Card playoff spots. MLB Network will show the matinee between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Colorado Rockies which is the first game of a doubleheader and the game between the Texas Rangers and Los Angeles Angels. The Reds are in must-win mode if they are to have any chance of making the playoffs. The pitching matchup for Tuesday has Hunter Greene going against Lucas Giolito. Greene comes into this game at 4-6 with a 4.24 ERA, while Giolito is 8-14 with a 4.60 ERA. This is simply a game that Cincinnati has to win and when Greene pitches the team usually scores runs and Greene gives up his share. I’ll take the Reds and the over.

A huge matchup takes place in Seattle on Tuesday, as the Astros visit the Mariners. This series may go a long way to deciding which of these teams makes the playoffs. The pitching matchup has Cristian Javier going for Houston, while the Mariners send George Kirby. Javier is 9-4 on the season with a 4.64 ERA and he did pitch well last time out, giving up just one run in five innings against Baltimore. Kirby is 11-10 on the season with a 3.58 ERA. I’ll take the Mariners and the game under the total.

We have had some good success lately with the three-team parlays and in this one we’ll go with a couple of power teams and one total. Tampa Bay is still trying to catch Baltimore in the AL East. The Rays visit Boston on Tuesday and it should be Zach Eflin going against Tanner Houck. Eflin is 15-8 with a 3.44 ERA, while Houck is 5-9 with a 4.92 ERA. I’ll go with the Rays as the first team in the parlay.
The Brewers have won the NL Central and on Tuesday they host the Cardinals. It should be Zack Thompson going for St. Louis, while Adrian Houser goes for the Brewers. Thompson is 5-7 with a 4.57 ERA, while Houser is 7-4 with a 4.35 ERA. I’ll take the Brewers as the second team in the parlay.
For the last game in the parlay, I’ll go with Texas and the Angels over the total. I do this with some trepidation since totals haven’t gone well for us, but I don’t trust either of these pitchers. The Rangers are going with Jon Gray, while the Angels send Reid Detmers. Gray is 8-8 with a 4.22 ERA, while Detmers is 3-10 with a 4.64 ERA. I’ll go over the total with the Rangers and Angels.
