If you want to watch exciting Major League Baseball action that really means something then this is the week. Tuesday night’s MLB schedule features a number of key games in terms of the playoff races in the National League and in the American League. It seems as almost every contender is playing another contender on Tuesday night. TBS has the game between the San Francisco Giants and Chicago Cubs. It is too bad that ESPN and MLB Network are not showing anything worthwhile on Tuesday. The only game on MLB Network is the Philadelphia Phillies at the San Diego Padres. We are coming off a split on Friday night hitting one of the three parlays, as the Blue Jays and over came through. The total on the Orioles and Diamondbacks cost us a three-team parlay win. We’ll look to get this week started right with a couple of same game parlays and a three-team parlay. Let’s look at Tuesday, September 5 MLB same game parlay picks.

The Orioles get the benefit of playing the Angels this week. Baltimore is trying to hold off Tampa Bay for the AL East lead and playing the Angels definitely helps. Los Angeles has basically thrown in the towel for this season. The pitching matchup on Tuesday has Dean Kremer going against Reid Detmers. I think you could make a case for going against Detmers anytime he pitches. He is 3-10 with a 5.01 ERA. Kremer is 12-5 with a 4.20 ERA. I’ll take the Orioles and the game over the total.

Rockies-Diamondbacks Over 9 (-102)

The Diamondbacks are fighting for a Wild Card spot in the National League and they need to take care of business this week against the Rockies. The probable pitching matchup for Tuesday night has Kyle Freeland going against Brandon Pfaadt. Freeland is 5-14 with a 5.18 ERA, while Pfaadt is 1-7 with a 6.21 ERA. I’ll hope that Arizona can score some runs and go with the Diamondbacks and the game over the total.

The Brewers visit the Pirates on Tuesday night and it should be Brandon Woodruff going for Milwaukee. He is 3-1 on the season with a 2.70 ERA. As of this writing the Pirates were undecided on their starter. It doesn’t matter to me, as this is a play on Woodruff and the Brewers.
The Guardians are playing their most important series of the season to date, as they host the Minnesota Twins on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The Tuesday pitching matchup should be a good one with Sonny Gray going against Tanner Bibee. This is simply a must-win series and a must-win game for the Guardians. Gray is 7-6 with a 2.92 ERA, while Bibee is 10-3 with a 3.03 ERA. Gray always seems to find a way to lose games, while Bibee finds a way to win. I’ll take the Guardians as the second team in the parlay.
The Yankees are playing better of late and we know that Gerrit Cole wants to pitch well, as he is in Cy Young contention. The Yankees host the Tigers on Tuesday and as long as Cole is on the mound I’ll go with New York as the last team in the parlay. Cole is 12-4 with a 2.95 ERA this season.
