It is getaway day in Major League Baseball on Wednesday, April 19 with almost all of the games in the day. Of the 15 games on Wednesday, we have 11 matinees. The premier matchup on Wednesday could be in Los Angeles, with Max Scherzer going for the Mets, while the Dodgers send Noah Syndergaard. The marquee matchup among the night games has the Los Angeles Angels visiting the New York Yankees on MLB Network. We have gotten off to a very good start with the MLB parlays this season, so we’ll look to stay hot with the Wednesday, April 19 MLB parlay picks.

MLB Parlay Picks for Wednesday, April 19, 2023
Diamondbacks-Cardinals Over 9.5 (-110)
New York Mets -141
Minnesota Twins +100
$100 to win $552
Diamondbacks-Cardinals Over 9.5
For the first leg of the parlay, we’ll go with the Diamondbacks and Cardinals over the total. The probable pitching matchup on Wednesday has Madison Bumgarner going for Arizona, while the Cardinals send Jake Woodford. You still might remember Bumgarner has a great pitcher, but those days are long since gone. He is barely a serviceable starter right now and you can make the case he isn’t even that. He is 0-2 on the season with a 7.90 ERA. Woodford hasn’t been much better for St. Louis, as he is 0-2 with a 5.65 ERA. I can’t see anything other than a high scoring game, so I will go over the total with Arizona and St. Louis.
New York Mets
Max Scherzer is expected to get the start for New York on Wednesday. The Mets pushed his start back a little bit, as he was originally scheduled for Sunday. Scherzer wanted to start Sunday, so I think he will be raring to go for this game on Wednesday. He comes into this game at 2-1 on the season with a 4.41 ERA. On the other side, the Dodgers are expected go to with Noah Syndergaard. It has not gone well for Syndergaard, as he is 0-2 with a 5.63 ERA. He wasn’t anything special for the Angels and Phillies last season, so I don’t know what the Dodgers were expecting. I’ll take the Mets to get the road win in this one as the second leg of the parlay.
Minnesota Twins
One of the most underrated teams so far this season has been the Minnesota Twins. They won 10 of their first 16 games and were leading the AL Central. One of their best starters this season has been Joe Ryan who is 3-0 with a 2.84 ERA. On the other side, the Red Sox should be sending Corey Kluber to the mound. This is not the same Kluber who won a Cy Young some years back. He is a shell of his former self and comes into this game with a record of 0-3 and an ERA of 6.92. The Red Sox are still getting way too much respect from the oddsmakers, even at home. Boston was just 5-4 in their first nine home games. The Red Sox will do well to finish with a winning record this season in a loaded American League East. The Twins are a bit underrated by the oddsmakers and they should get some added value in this game. I’ll take the Twins as the last part of the parlay.
