With around five weeks left in the regular season games now take on more meaning for teams in the playoff hunt, and there are plenty of them still in contention. That sets the stage for some good ball games to build a winning MLB parlay. One of the biggest games takes place in Cleveland where the first place Guardians host Kansas City in an AL Central confrontation. The Royals are still hanging around moving within a few games of the lead while still holding on to a wild card spot. Arizona has been on fire since the All-Star break inching closer to the Dodgers in the NL West. They host the Mets, who are looking to get back into a wild card spot.

I had the best day of the season two weeks ago hitting my three-team and same game MLB parlay, sending me into a bye on a high note. Hopefully the off week didn’t hurt as I look to continue my winning ways. I hit on two games with the total, successfully backing the OVER in the Colorado/Arizona game and the UNDER in the Mariners/Tigers contest. I also backed the Mets straight up in their 9-1 romp against Oakland.
Despite their work at the trade deadline and a managerial change, the Mariners are likely to miss the postseason in large part to a historically bad offense. Their team batting average dipped to .216, which would be among the five worst in the modern MLB era. That’s not good. They’ve played below the total in 53 percent of their games and always seem to struggle for offense at home, which is why I’m backing the UNDER in their game with Tampa Bay.
The Padres have been one of the hottest teams since the All-Star break and they own the best road record among NL teams. They haven’t had a lot of success in St. Louis over the last few years, but things are different this year. The Cards have regressed over the last month and the Friars will take advantage of a struggling offense by using the talented arms in their reimagined bullpen.
I’ve had some success recently with the White Sox on my MLB parlays so I’m going back to them. They just are not good and as a result backing their opponent makes sense. The moneyline is a lost wager with no value, though, so I’m backing the Rangers on the runline. Not much has changed for the Sox following managerial change with eight losses in the first 11 games under new skipper Grady Sizemore.

It was a close call but the Yankees came through for me on my same game parlay two weeks ago. Backing the Bombers on the runline and the OVER, they were behind, 2-1, entering the seventh inning only to score three times. They turned my ticket into a winner scoring six times in the eighth with the help of an Aaron Judge three-run blast for the 10-2 triumph. Switching gears I’m backing the UNDER in this matchup. Atlanta’s offense has sputtered with the loss of several key players and they’ve played below the total in a MLB-high 61 percent of their games. Minnesota has been good at home so going with them on the moneyline is a good choice to make another winning MLB parlay.
