Baseball traditionalists probably wouldn’t like the MLB schedule for Wednesday, June 26 with seven of the 15 matchups of the interleague variety. The crossover games are here to stay, though, and some are more intriguing than others. One matchup that always gets attention is the Subway Series in New York between the Yankees and Mets. Both teams could absolutely suck and it would still be better than a Twins-Diamondbacks tilt. With the Yankees struggling, it might be a good time to back the Mets, who played their way into Wild Card contention in the NL. Talk about struggles I’ve been slumping on my MLB parlay picks for a few weeks and look to change things up on Wednesday.

MLB Parlay Picks for Wednesday, June 26, 2024
Phillies ML
Rockies / Astros OVER
Yankees ML
$100 to win $600
I think I’m pretty knowledgeable about sports in general and baseball in particular. However, looking at my recent MLB parlays would certainly suggest otherwise. Teams and players go through slumps during the season and I’m enduring one now after losing another three-team parlay last week. And like the best players and teams you have to work your way through a tough spell and that’s what I’m going to do.
Getting back to the teams that have done well for me is a start so backing the Phillies on the moneyline against Detroit is one of my picks. The Tigers got off to a good start but their inability to win at home has hurt them. They enter the week with a losing home record while the Phils are one of the best on the road.
After jumping all over one of the best pitching staffs in baseball the Astros should be looking forward to a visit from the Rockies. Houston scored 27 runs in their weekend sweep of the Baltimore breaking out of their offensive slumber. The offense could be bolstered by the return of Kyle Tucker, who belted 19 homers before being sidelined with a leg injury earlier this month. The offense clicked without him, though, bashing the O’s.
Finally, I like the Yankees in their Subway Series tilt with the Mets, despite what I said above. I expect Lucas Gil to bounce back from his worst outing to silence the Mets. The Yankees won nine straight Gil starts before he was knocked out in the second inning last week in a loss to the Orioles.
MLB Same Game Parlay
Dodgers RL
Dodgers / White Sox UNDER
$100 to win $225
It probably looks like I’m picking on the White Sox betting against them again. It hasn’t worked out for me in the past, but they haven’t played the Dodgers yet either. With Mookie Betts out of the lineup the top of the order has suffered slightly leading to the Dodgers producing fewer runs. However, they continue to win games behind a pitching staff that’s overcome a number of issues to put up solid numbers. One hurler aiding the situation is probable starter Gavin Stone, who is 8-2 with a 3.04 ERA. And the Dodgers have gotten some relief from guys like Teoscar Hernandez and Miguel Rojas to help out the bottom of the order while Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman continue to rake at the top. LA will be a heavy moneyline favorite so I’ll back them against the spread to move the odds in my favor while also backing the UNDER.
