Seattle Mariners
The Seattle Mariners host the Washington Nationals on Wednesday and one of our favorite go-against pitchers is on the mound, as the Nationals send Patrick Corbin. Corbin is 4-9 on the season with a 5.32 ERA. The Nats have lost each of his last four starts and there is no reason to think they will win this one. Logan Gilbert gets the call for Seattle and he comes into this one at 5-4 with a 4.07 ERA. Gilbert has been up and down this season but his last two starts against the White Sox and Orioles were more like what we are used to with Gilbert as he gave up two runs and one run. This is a big series for Seattle to show upper management they are still a team that can make a playoff run. I’ll take the Mariners as the first team in the parlay.
Baltimore Orioles
The Cincinnati Reds visit the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday and the probable pitching matchup has Luke Weaver going against Kyle Gibson. I must be a glutton for punishment because I am going right back against Weaver again. The Reds somehow have been winning his starts of late, even though Weaver has been terrible. He is 1-2 on the season with a 6.86 ERA, yet the Reds have won each of his last five starts. Gibson had been pitching well until last time out when the Mariners got to him for seven hits and five runs in just three innings. Gibson is still 8-5 on the season with a 4.30 ERA. The Reds have definitely been a surprise team this season, but so has Baltimore and the Orioles have the definite pitching edge in this one. I’ll take the Orioles as the second team in the parlay.
Texas Rangers
The Detroit Tigers face the Texas Rangers on Wednesday and the probable pitching matchup has Joey Wentz going for Detroit, while the Rangers send Dane Dunning. Not much has gone right for Wentz this season, as he comes into this game at 1-8 with a 6.72 ERA. With those type of numbers, it is hard to believe that he is still in the starting rotation. On the other side, Dunning has been really good for Texas this season, as he comes into this game at 6-1 with a 2.76 ERA. Texas has been good at home this season with their high-powered offense they should score a lot of runs off Wentz. I’ll take the Rangers as the last team in the parlay.
