A matchup of division leaders, a showdown between the top clubs in the AL Central and the battle for Chicago are just a few games in which to build a winning MLB parlay on Wednesday, June 5. The Philadelphia Phillies have the best record in baseball and host the NL Central leading Milwaukee Brewers, who have the biggest lead of any division leader. Milwaukee owned Chicago taking three of four from the Cubs and sweeping the White Sox over the weekend to build a 7.5-game bulge. The floundering Chicago teams meet at Wrigley Field with the Sox entering the series on an 11-game losing streak. Cleveland enters the week having won 12 of 15 games and is the most profitable MLB club. The Guardians host Kansas City in the first series of the season between division foes.

MLB Parlay Picks for Wednesday, June 5, 2024
Yankees RL
Cubs ML
Padres ML
$100 to win $600
I got this vibe going where I suck at my three-team MLB parlay picks but make up for it with same game parlay winners. Maybe I should just start playing same game parlays and forego the three-teamer. If I go winless with my three picks this week I’ll seriously consider that move next time.
I’ll start with the Yankees, who’ve been on a roll thanks to an awesome pitching staff and the magic wand of Aaron Judge, who bolstered his MVP chances by hitting 14 home runs in May. The Yanks completed a successful 7-2 West Coast road trip with a sweep of the Giants and have the largest run differential in MLB at plus-107. I’m backing them against the spread in their tilt with the Twins.
It’s a good strategy to bet against bad teams so we’ll see if it pays off for me. And the good thing about these two games is that the odds won’t be significant since the clubs I’m backing are right around .500. The White Sox are struggling to score runs and they are the elixir the Cubs need to break out of a slumber. Offense hasn’t been a priority on the north side but at least the Cubs have a stronger pitching staff, which helps them get a much needed victory.
Also, the Padres have been a solid road team boasting the second-most road wins in the majors. They blew one on Sunday in a loss to the Royals but still took two of three from a team that plays well in its own yard. I can’t faithfully endorse the Angels, who ended the week on a five-game skid with losses in eight of their past nine, so backing the visitors is a smart play in this matchup.
MLB Same Game Parlay
Nationals ML
Mets / Nationals OVER
$100 to win $225
I hit my same game parlay for the second straight week backing Seattle on the moneyline and UNDER seven runs. It took extra innings with the M’s prevailing 2-1. I’ll look to continue the heater backing the Nationals against the Mets in a NL East tilt. Despite being under .500 the Nats are a profitable club with success recently winning two of three against Seattle and three of four in Atlanta. The potential pitching matchup with Luis Severino against Patrick Corbin signifies that runs can be scored and it’s hard to trust the Mets, who can’t seem to figure things out. Washington on the other hand is headed in the right direction with a young core that according to many pundits has overachieved this season.
