Last week’s three-team MLB parlay contained only one winning bet so it’s back to the drawing board. The only correct pick was backing the UNDER in the NL West matchup between the Dbacks and Dodgers. I had Houston on the run line and the Astros were stymied, 2-1, by the Angels. I also backed the Rays, who fell 8-5 at home to Boston. I haven’t hit a winning three-teamer in a few weeks, but my same game parlay success is keeping me afloat.
The Atlanta Braves enter the week 10 games over .500 and the season seems like a failure. We’ve seen them in the past step on the gas as the season moves along and they have the talent to make a run at another division title. They avoided a sweep and displayed some offense in an 8-1 win over Pittsburgh on Sunday. They have been inconsistent but have had success against the Nationals giving me enough confidence to back them at home on the moneyline.
Taking the biggest money-maker in the majors looks like a good play. The Guardians won their eighth straight beating the Halos on Saturday and travel to face the Rockies. Colorado had a brief spurt that included seven straight wins, but they’ve regressed into being one of the worst teams in MLB. Cleveland has the second-best run differential in the AL and the Rox the third-worst in MLB. I’ll back the visitors against the spread.
Finally, I can see the Yankees feasting on the Angels pitching staff and will back the OVER in their matchup. I am concerned that New York’s pitching, which has been among the best in baseball, can shut down LA’s attack. Still with Aaron Judge, Juan Soto and Giancarlo Stanton getting in a groove, runs are out there.

I did get back in the win column with last week’s same game parlay when the Phillies came through with an outright win against Texas with the teams going OVER the total. with an offense that ranks near the bottom in average and runs, the Mariners play a lot of close, low-scoring games. And they tend to do that more often when playing at home. The teams cashed the UNDER in both earlier meetings and there’s a good chance we see runs at a premium in this contest. And the Astros have struggled on the road this season with the second fewest away wins in the AL.
