Old School Meets New School
Dallas has to be the most frightened undefeated team in the NFL after losing star quarterback Tony Romo for a few months with a broken collarbone. The Falcons are the most unlikely unbeaten, and one will no longer be without a loss following Sunday’s meeting. Despite the loss of Romo and Dez Bryant, the Cowboys are still BookMaker’s favorite to win the NFC East at +115, though their Super Bowl odds tumbled....
All of a sudden, the NFC East looks awfully interesting now that Tony Romo is going to be on the shelf for the next eight weeks with a broken collarbone. That makes this Thursday nighter between the 0-2 New York Giants and the 1-1 Washington Redskins a heck of a lot more interesting than it seemed like it was going to be just a few short days ago....
The NFC East appears to be wide open now and the Redskins are in a good position after a grinding win over the Rams. The Giants have little time to recover from another heart-breaking fourth-quarter loss and find themselves in what amounts to a must-win game for coach Tom Coughlin, who’s gotten erratic play from his $85 million quarterback. The Giants have won four straight over the Redskins and are 4-1 ATS in their last five, so at least they got that going for them. We’ll all be watching close...
WEEK 3 NFL OPENING ODDS...
The Green Bay Packers still have to be having nightmares about the way they lost the NFC Championship Game. Perhaps history would have been much different had the Seattle Seahawks not come all the way back from down 16-0 and 19-7 to beat the Pack. Now, Green Bay has a chance early in 2015 to get some vengeance for that rainy January day when it gets the Seahawks at Lambeau Field....

Some of the more notable line moves of the week can be found below.Note: All current NFL odds listed as of Thursday morning. Logon to BookMaker Sportsbook for up-to-the-minute odds....
It wasn't the shock of all shocks that Buffalo Bills knocked off the Colts in Week 1. However, if this team can start off with another win over the New England Patriots, Rex Ryan will certainly have a gripe to have one of the best teams in the AFC....
A big win over AFC power Indianapolis in the opener has Buffalo excited over its Bills. Is Rex Ryan’s gang for real? We’ll find out more when they host the defending champion Patriots. Ryan always saves his best for the Pats, taking five of his last six meetings with New England down to the wire, including both games last season when he was coaching the hapless Jets....
If you had told bettors that one of these teams on Monday Night Football in Week 2 was going to be 1-0, while the other was going to be 0-1, most probably would have gotten it wrong. As it is, the Indianapolis Colts are the ones under the pressure of the 0-1 start, and they could be in trouble against the New York Jets if they don't play better ball than they did eight days ago....
Can the Cowboys luck continue? After getting a gift from the Giants last week, Dallas looks to make it two straight in the NFC East, getting a leg up on their division rivals. DeMarco Murray gets a first crack at his old mates after leaving for the City of Brotherly Love as a free agent in the offseason. Don’t expect the ‘Boys to give him much love as they go for their fourth straight win in Philly....
The first week of the NFL season was a painful one for injuries for a lot of teams. BookMaker primes you for the second Sunday of the season by going over all of the main woes which could play a huge role for bettors....
Last season, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys played two very different games against each other. The Eagles were flying high on Thanksgiving Day, but it was only two weeks later that Dallas knocked them out of the playoffs in the City of Brotherly Love. Now, the two teams meet again for the first time in 2015 in significantly different circumstances in Week 2....
The Colts certainly didn’t look like a contender in the AFC after their season-opening loss at Buffalo. With all the turmoil surrounding the Jets this summer, a beatdown of the Browns was the last thing folks expected.Indianapolis looks to get the stars in alignment and avoid their second straight 0-2 start when they host the New York on Monday Night Football. Indy is 10-2-1 ATS in its last 13 games at Lucas Oil Stadium....
The Seahawks’ Legion of Boom defense was anything but last week, looking downright ordinary in a loss to the Rams. That showing has Aaron Rodgers and the Packers salivating over an opportunity to end a three-game losing streak to Seattle in the budding NFC rivalry that will be showcased on NBC’s Sunday Night Football....
The quarterback carousel is working again in Houston. Ryan Mallett will reportedly get the start over Brian Hoyer, who struggled in a loss to the Chiefs last week. The Texans also could get a boost to their running game with Arian Foster nearing a return, which is good news for a team looking to avoid its first 0-2 start in seven years....
After playing a late Monday game, the 49ers have a short turnaround, heading to Pittsburgh to ring in the Steelers home schedule. Pittsburgh had plenty of time to figure out what went wrong in their opener, a loss to the defending champs, and we’ll see if they did.The Steelers are happy to be home where they’ve won eight of nine openers under coach Mike Tomlin....
The Broncos remain the class of the AFC West until someone knocks them off their perch, but the gap could be closing with Peyton Manning showing signs of age. And it’s the Chiefs who are next in line to dethrone the division champs. But the Broncos have won four straight at Arrowhead Stadium and are 17-1 against division opponents since Manning’s arrival in 2012....
So we knocked it out of the park with our quarterback and wide receiver calls last week with all four producing solid fantasy stats to give your DFS lineups a solid foundation to build upon.We didn’t do so good in the running back department and hope to make amends in Week 2....
Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts went three full quarters before they finally put some points on the board last week in Buffalo. All of a sudden at 0-1, they might feel a bit of pressure to get this win in what all of a sudden looks like a tricky game against the New York Jets on Monday Night Football....
Even though both the Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs are 1-0 SU and ATS thus far in 2015, there is a clear divide in the opinions of these two teams heading into Thursday Night Football.Live bettors are very likely going to end up being the beneficiaries....
We're only one week into the NFL season, but there are some teams who have already made some drastic jumps in one direction or the other on the Super Bowl odds, providing bettors tremendous opportunities to find some value on the teams which started off at 0-1....
Considering the fact that most of the educated NFL world determined before the start of the season that the San Francisco 49ers would closely resemble a circus, the fact that they are 1-0 is quite impressive. If they manage to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road on Sunday, they'll surely turn some heads once and for all....
The Falcons go for their second straight upset win over the NFC East when they face the Giants. Atlanta escaped with a win over the Eagles on Monday night, getting the Dan Quinn era started on a positive note. The Giants may be seeing an end to the Tom Coughlin era after a disastrous loss in Dallas that saw them blow a game with horrible clock management down the stretch....
The Bengals had the most convincing win and the Chargers had the biggest comeback win in Week 1. Cincinnati waltzed to an easy victory in Oakland last week, sending the Raiders to the halftime locker room amid a chorus of boos from the home town fans. They’ll get a stiffer test from another AFC West foe when San Diego pays a visit. The Chargers scored 30 unanswered points to overcome a large deficit and beat the Lions. They hit the road where they are 5-0-1 ATS in their last six September road games....
One team will feel a little better about where the season is headed and the other will be in a big hole when the NFC North clash between the Lions and Vikings is done. Both teams suffered painful losses last week with the Lions blowing a big lead in San Diego and the Vikings getting embarrassed in Santa Clara. Detroit will need to reverse a troubling trend as it is just 2-8-1 ATS in the last 11 road games against division foes....
