While some of that can certainly be attributed to biased poll methodology and oversampling of Democrats along with a “news” media that no longer even pretends to be fair, the fact remains Trump has not always helped himself. As for Biden he has learned that staying hidden and locked in his Delaware home bunker gives him his best poll results.
Media Spins COVID-19 Stats to Damage Trump Numbers
The COVID-19 situation in the United States is a two-sided coin. Positive tests results are high because testing is at an all-time high. And the news media is doing all that it can to stoke fear. On the other side of the coin is the fact that the death rate is low. Especially for younger people there is a greater risk of death by auto accident, drowning, or lightning strike than of the coronavirus. In fact, most people under the age of 65 are in no real danger of death per the “science and data.”
The Fake Hero that is Not
Just as absurd is the hero status that the media has bestowed upon Democrat New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. No governor made a more horrific and grotesque decision than to subject thousands of innocent senior citizens to their own personal holocaust. Cuomo ignored the science and data by sending coronavirus patients to nursing homes where the most vulnerable citizens of all, the elderly, were put to death as a result. But since Cuomo is a Democrat he is lauded by the same “journalists” that would rake a Republican over the coals for “ignoring science and data” and doing the exact same thing that Cuomo did.
“Journalism” is now an Informercial
As a result of a “journalist” being a Democrat with a byline, low information voters, too busy to dive into the details, are being led to believe that Trump is at fault for a positive test rate that is being grossly sensationalized, while the favorable death rate gets ignored altogether.
The “news” media used to pretend to be fair, although they never were. But they were more subtle about being Democrat shills back in the day. Now, they are open advocates and a publicity staff against Trump and the Republicans. Sadly, millions of Americans are thinking that they are getting “news” when they are actually getting a free advertisement for the Democrats. This skewers poll numbers and the potential for massive voting against Trump based on such propaganda.
Trump Counter Offensive?
This past week President Trump was more aggressive in arresting and breaking up violent protests Portland, Oregon, home of the domestic terrorist organization ANTIFA. Portland mayor Ted Wheeler has long played footsie with ANTFA and related anarchistic violent left groups. At least until his own home was recently threatened. But Wheeler has discovered that you can’t put the toothpaste back into the tube. Yet he told Trump to stay out of Portland’s affairs. Problematic is that innocent citizens and their property have been and could be harmed. Thanks to Wheeler’s years of appeasement.
