Gamblers Conform Trump Momentum

Presidential Election Betting: The past week has shown the biggest jump in favor of Donald Trump since his debate against Joe Biden in the summer. Trump and Kamala Harris have been relatively even on the board since late September, with Harris holding a small lead after her debate against Trump. But in the past two weeks, Trump has seized the momentum as voters remain sour on the economy, inflation, the inability to buy homes, illegal immigration, and increased crime. Harris has the problem of being Biden’s Vice President and having a key role in all of the decisions that have caused Americans so much pain. Additionally, in what was supposed to be a softball interview on The View, Harris confirmed that she would not have done anything different from Biden, thus badly undermining her case.

With two weeks to go, Donald Trump has emerged as a solid betting favorite. But in politics, two weeks is an eternity.

The Joy Turns Into Bitterness and Resentment

Kamala Harris has a reputation for not wearing well. It is said that voters quickly tire of her. Harris has the problem of tedious word-salad answers based on platitudes. She is terrible on her feet and easily startled. Worse yet, she may be the biggest liar in American politics since Bill Clinton, who was at least artful and skilled at the craft. Harris’ lies come off as ditzy, dumb, and ill-informed. While Clinton’s charm and intelligence could get voters to smirk at his lies while concentrating on the bigger picture, Harris does not have that ability.

Kamala Harris faces the same problem that confronts any Democrat politician. Her desire to govern against the will of the people must be hidden. But while Clinton and Barack Obama were able to mask their true intentions and come off as populists, Harris is becoming a whiny, arrogant scold. And if there is anything that bothers Americans, it is an ill-informed, failed politician who thinks they are the smartest person in the room.

Because Harris can’t or won’t admit her actual extreme left policies, she took a politics of “joy” approach. As a California Democrat, she is not used to being held accountable for anything in that mindlessly one-party state. Thus, she is woefully unprepared for a presidential race and scrutiny, even with most of the media trying to protect her.

The Harris campaign is collapsing like the house of cards that it always was. But Republicans should not pop the champagne corks yet. The Democrats still have the machinery to drag Harris over the finish line.

All That With an Order of Fries

On Sunday, Trump pulled off one of the greatest political stunts in modern memory. Playing off Harris and her questionable claims of growing up middle class and working at McDonalds, Trump took the initiative. He actually worked at a McDonald's in Pennsylvania and became an instant sensation. Trump made French fries and handed customers their sacks of food at the drive-thru window.

When an employee thanked him for taking the time to be with “ordinary” people, Trump responded that there was “nothing ordinary” about the McDonald's crew. Later, it was confirmed that there was no evidence of Harris having actually worked at McDonald's.

Many Democrats and left-wing elitists sneered at Trump’s McDonald’s stunt, therefore proving that it was a great success. It was a similar ploy to when Clinton played his saxophone on the Arsenio Hall Show, which triggered Republicans.

Trump continues to revolutionize campaign communications. In 2016, he was masterful in his use of Twitter to go over the heads of the Democrat Media Complex. Now, he is using long-form podcast interviews as an end run against the legacy media with great success.
