Presidential Election Betting: As the week begins, not much has changed in the minds of gamblers. As was the case last week, Kamala Harris is the slight betting favorite against Donald Trump. The irony of the 2024 election, much like sports betting, is that the more information is available, the more misinformation is spread. Some believe the polls are looking erratic because pollsters are oversampling Trump to compensate for Republican voters not wanting to talk to pollsters. On the other hand, some polls will oversample for Harris to tamp down Republican enthusiasm and give hope to Democrats who may not be excited about voting.
The polls have become so absurd that the New York Times, a perpetual campaign brochure for the Democrats going back to John F Kennedy, was accused of favoring Republicans in its samples recently. FOX has often been accused of favoring Democrats to improve its image with leftist viewers. All told, nobody knows what to believe.

VP Debate Tuesday Night
The Vice Presidential debate is Tuesday night between Democrat Tim Walz and Republican JD Vance. It is probably the last such event of the election cycle.
Realistically, the Presidential debate between Harris and Trump failed to make a dent in the polls, so it is doubtful that the VP matchup will change many minds either. But it is a good opportunity for Vance to call out the insanity of the Democrat policies in immigration, inflation, and energy, just to name a few. He can also easily tag Walz as the leftist radical that he has always been.
In that way, there is the potential to at least call out the Democrats for what they have been and are, especially when the “news” media won’t.
Do Enough Americans Care About Issues and Democrat Neglect?
This week, Hurricane Helene slammed into North Carolina and other nearby areas with utter devastation. Over 121 deaths have been recorded. The Democrat response was for President Joe Biden to vacation on a beach while Harris pretended to care with a photo of her holding a phone on Air Force Two. Meanwhile, Trump visited Valdosta, Georgia, and was organizing relief efforts.
The former president, in addition to ripping Harris for the 'staged' photo, slammed Harris for letting Americans drown.
'Biden and Harris abandoned Americans in Afghanistan,' Trump's post continued. 'They sacrificed Americans to an Open Border, and now, they have left Americans to drown in North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, and elsewhere in the South.'
'Blank paper. Headphones not plugged in. Everything about Kamala is fake,' the account Libs of TikTok posted.
The House Judiciary Committee Republican's X account similarly posted: 'Her headphones aren’t even plugged into the phone.'
'Things that can be seen: VP logo on coffee cup. Standard text on plane window. Things that cannot be seen: Kamala actually writing any notes as she pretends to take a phone call,' another user wrote.
It was another of many bad looks for Harris, who consistently loses all policy polls on the border, economy, and crime to Trump. Yet she holds a small lead over Trump in most polls. How can that be?
For some Americans, unfortunately, Trump is a bridge too far. They can’t stand his personality and the noise. Ronald Reagan always said that Americans vote Republican if the campaigns are about issues. For too many voters, Trump is the issue, despite agreeing with him on the issues.
