One week ago, President Donald Trump was coming off one of the worst weeks of his Presidency. By the end of the week it was obvious that the American people were tired of the marathon “gotcha” press conferences every day that offered little in the way of practical advice and information. Additionally, Trump stepped in it just enough to have his words twisted to the point where the legend grew that he encouraged people to drink bleach as a remedy for the coronavirus (he actually did no such thing). By week’s end reports were out that Trump was so enraged about his falling poll numbers that he got involved in a shouting match with his reelection campaign manager Trump called the stories “fake news”. As was the case with the Billy Bush Access Hollywood tapes of October, 2016 Trump was written off for dead
But what a difference a week makes. As was the case when the Access Hollywood tapes went public and he was declared politically finished, Trump came out fighting. Now he is coming off one of the best weeks of his Presidency. The Gallup Poll reveals the highest approval numbers since he took office. All the while Democrat presumptive nominee Joe Biden flopped in the face of sexual assault allegations that blew up in his face last week.

2020 US Presidential Election Odds Overview and Analysis
Donald Trump showed why he is going to be so hard to beat last week. The President again proved to be at his best when things were at their worst. Gamblers sense that its not wise to step out in front of the Trump Train. By contrast Joe Biden is faltering badly with the combination of sexual assault charges and his utter inability to communicate effectively.
Trump Changes Course
After allowing himself to get played by the “news” media his daily coronavirus press briefings Trump dramatically changed course. He cut down on time and questions from a hostile press corps that, in most cases, is nothing more than the Democrat Publicity team. He was shown meeting with captains of industry and medicine, looking much more Presidential in the process. The end result was poll numbers that seemed like a pipe dream just one week ago.
Democrat Tyrants
The American DNA of defying abusive government authority was on full display last week in the deepest blue Democrat states in the union. Chicago will never be mistaken as “Trump Country” and yet citizens tore down fences to access public parks. There is no deeper blue Democrat state than California and yet thousands stormed the beaches in defiance of governor Gavin Newsome’s shutdown order. And in Michigan armed citizens stomped into the state capitol to demand freedom after governor Gretchen Whitmer implemented some of the most draconian diktats in the land.
Americans played nice for a couple of months but have had enough. Through their actions they have declared that they will not stand for personal financial ruin. They look to southern states that are in the beginning stages of reopening and they wonder why reasonable and measured risks can’t be taken instead of mindless extreme total shutdowns. Citizens that face the loss of jobs, businesses, homes, and savings are no longer going to stand for being smothered. Especially as the coronavirus numbers continue to go down.
