Tottenham Hotspur are looking to make it to the Champions League quarterfinals for just the third time in their history. Spurs have not made many trips to the most prestigious competition in Europe, but this is also one of their strongest periods. To get to the final eight, they need to get past Bundesliga frontrunners Borussia Dortmund. These teams met in the Champions League Group Stage last year, and Spurs won both meetings behind three Harry Kane goals.
The Champions League knockout stage is now underway, and you don’t want to miss any of this action. This game will take place at Wembley Stadium in London, England at 3 p.m. ET on Wednesday, February 13, 2019. It will be televised on TNT.

Odds Analysis
The Bundesliga is now Borussia Dortmund’s to lose. Dortmund are seven points ahead of both Borussia Monchengladbach and Bayern Munich, and they have lost just once all year. They were very impressive in the group stage of the Champions League too. Dortmund posted a clean sheet in five of their six matches, and the only team they conceded against was Atletico Madrid. That impressive display won them the group.
Spurs are now out of both domestic cups, so the only competitions they worry about are the Champions League and the Premier League. They have had one of their best years ever in the domestic league and currently sit in third place. Making it back to the Champions League next year is very close to becoming a reality given their standing in the league, but they were fortunate to make it through to the knockout rounds. Spurs blew leads against Inter Milan and PSV Eindhoven and had to advance on away goals over Inter.
Key Injuries
Manuel Akanji is going to miss this match for Dortmund because of a hip injury, and two other players are doubtful. Captain Marco Reus injured his thigh last week and is unlikely to go, while Lukasz Piszczek has been dealing with a foot injury. Roman Burki and Marwin Hitz have both contracted an illness and are unlikely to play in domestic play this weekend, but both should recover enough for this game.
There are some real concerns for the side of Tottenham. Harry Kane and Dele Alli look set to miss both legs of this tilt, as they are dealing with injuries that have already sidelined both players for a month. Ben Davies looks to be out with a strained groin, and Vincent Janssen is unlikely to be available either. Eric Dier is currently dealing with an illness, but he is expected to recover in time too.
Player to Watch
Son Heung-Min has been a savior for Tottenham this season. He has been the team’s late goal scoring catalyst, and he now has 10 goals in Premier League action on the year. Son scored Spurs’ other two goals against Dortmund in Champions League play last year, and he has been the team’s best scoring option with Kane out. Look for him to make a mark here.
Prop Bet – Over 1.5 Goals +146
I believe we’re going to see both teams open it up here. Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund are both teams that like to open things up, and neither team will feel the need to play behind the ball. That will lead to a free-flowing up and down game, and both teams will have good chances throughout the early game.

Dortmund have played well, and I think they stand a good chance of advancing, but I’m going to call for Spurs to get the win. Son has been playing great and the defense will do just enough to get a crucial victory.
Champions League Odds: Tottenham Hotspur 2, Borussia Dortmund 1
